Jeremiah 49:2
ಆದದರಿಂದ ಇಗೋ, ದಿನಗಳು ಬರುವ ವೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಆಗ ಅಮ್ಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ರಬ್ಬಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಯುದ್ಧದ ಆರ್ಭಟವನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವಂತೆ ನಾನು ಮಾಡುವೆನು; ಅದು ಹಾಳು ದಿಬ್ಬೆಯಾಗುವದು; ಅದರ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯರು ಸಹ ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಡಲ್ಪಡು ವರು; ಆಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲು ತನ್ನ ಬಾಧ್ಯಸ್ಥರ ಬಾಧ್ಯ ವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವದೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.

| alarm an cause will I that | וְ֠הִשְׁמַעְתִּי | wĕhišmaʿtî | VEH-heesh-ma-tee |
| of war | אֶל | ʾel | el |
| to be heard | רַבַּ֨ת | rabbat | ra-BAHT |
| in | בְּנֵי | bĕnê | beh-NAY |
| Rabbah | עַמּ֜וֹן | ʿammôn | AH-mone |
| of the Ammonites; | תְּרוּעַ֣ת | tĕrûʿat | teh-roo-AT |
| מִלְחָמָ֗ה | milḥāmâ | meel-ha-MA | |
| be shall it and | וְהָֽיְתָה֙ | wĕhāyĕtāh | veh-ha-yeh-TA |
| a desolate | לְתֵ֣ל | lĕtēl | leh-TALE |
| heap, | שְׁמָמָ֔ה | šĕmāmâ | sheh-ma-MA |
| daughters her and | וּבְנֹתֶ֖יהָ | ûbĕnōtêhā | oo-veh-noh-TAY-ha |
| shall be burned | בָּאֵ֣שׁ | bāʾēš | ba-AYSH |
| with fire: | תִּצַּ֑תְנָה | tiṣṣatnâ | tee-TSAHT-na |
| Israel shall then | וְיָרַ֧שׁ | wĕyāraš | veh-ya-RAHSH |
| be heir | יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל | yiśrāʾēl | yees-ra-ALE |
were that them unto | אֶת | ʾet | et |
| his heirs, | יֹרְשָׁ֖יו | yōrĕšāyw | yoh-reh-SHAV |
