Jeremiah 4
19 ನನ್ನ ಕರುಳುಗಳು, ನನ್ನ ಕರುಳುಗಳು! ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ನೊಂದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ನನ್ನ ಹೃದ ಯವು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಗುತ್ತದೆ, ಮೌನವಾಗಿರಲಾರೆನು; ಓ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವೇ, ತುತೂರಿಯ ಶಬ್ದವನ್ನೂ ಯುದ್ಧದ ಆರ್ಭಟವನ್ನೂ ನೀನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೀ.
20 ನಾಶ ನದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾಶನವು ಕೂಗಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ, ದೇಶವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹಾಳಾಯಿತು; ಫಕ್ಕನೆ ನನ್ನ ಗುಡಾರಗಳೂ ಕ್ಷಣ ಮಾತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ತೆರೆಗಳೂ ಹಾಳಾದವು.
21 ಎಷ್ಟರ ವರೆಗೆ ನಾನು ಧ್ವಜವನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತಾ ತುತೂರಿಯ ಶಬ್ದವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಲಿ?
22 ನನ್ನ ಜನರು ಮೂಢರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅವರು ಅರಿಯರು; ಕುಡಿಕರಾದ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ಗ್ರಹಿಕೆ ಯುಳ್ಳವರಲ್ಲ; ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಜಾಣರಾಗಿ ದ್ದಾರೆ, ಒಳ್ಳೇದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವದನ್ನು ಅರಿಯರು.
19 My bowels, my bowels! I am pained at my very heart; my heart maketh a noise in me; I cannot hold my peace, because thou hast heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war.
20 Destruction upon destruction is cried; for the whole land is spoiled: suddenly are my tents spoiled, and my curtains in a moment.
21 How long shall I see the standard, and hear the sound of the trumpet?
22 For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.

19 ನನ್ನ ಕರುಳುಗಳು, ನನ್ನ ಕರುಳುಗಳು! ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ನೊಂದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ನನ್ನ ಹೃದ ಯವು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಗುತ್ತದೆ, ಮೌನವಾಗಿರಲಾರೆನು; ಓ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವೇ, ತುತೂರಿಯ ಶಬ್ದವನ್ನೂ ಯುದ್ಧದ ಆರ್ಭಟವನ್ನೂ ನೀನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೀ.

For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.
