Jeremiah 38:20
ಆಗ ಅವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಪಹಾಸ್ಯ ಮಾಡುವರು ಅಂದನು. ಆದರೆ ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ --ಅವರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಸುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳುವ ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಕೇಳು; ಆಗ ನಿನಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇದಾಗುವದು; ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣ ಬದುಕು ವದು.

ಅವು ಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಂದರೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದಲೂ ಕಬ್ಬಿಣದ ಕುಲುಮೆಯೊಳ ಗಿಂದಲೂ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸುವದೆ ಲ್ಲಾದರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನನ್ನ ಸ್ವರಕ್ಕೆ ವಿಧೇಯರಾಗಿ ಅವುಗಳಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ನೀವು ನನಗೆ ಜನಾಂಗವಾಗುವಿರಿ; ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾಗಿರುವೆನು ಅಂದೆನು.
