Isaiah 40
1 ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಜನರನ್ನು ಸಂತೈಸಿರಿ, ಸಂತೈಸಿರಿ ಎಂದು ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
2 ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಸಂಗಡ ನೀವು ಹೃದಯಾಂಗಮ ವಾಗಿ ಮಾತಾಡಿರಿ; ಅದರ ಯುದ್ಧವು ತೀರಿತೆಂದೂ ದೋಷವು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಕೂಗಿರಿ; ಅದು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಾಪಗಳಿಗೂ ಕರ್ತನಿಂದ ಎರಡರಷ್ಟು ಹೊಂದಿ ದ್ದಾಯಿತು.
3 ಇಗೋ, ಒಂದು ವಾಣಿ, ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನ ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ನೆಟ್ಟಗೆ ಮಾಡಿರಿ; ಅಡವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ರಾಜಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ನೆಟ್ಟಗೆ ಮಾಡಿರಿ.
4 ಎಲ್ಲಾ ತಗ್ಗುಗಳು ಮುಚ್ಚಲ್ಪಡಲಿ, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಬೆಟ್ಟ ಗುಡ್ಡ ಗಳು ತಗ್ಗಿಸಲ್ಪಡಲಿ, ಕೊರಕಲ ನೆಲವು ಸಮವಾಗು ವದು; ಕರ್ತನ ಮಹಿಮೆಯು ಗೋಚರವಾಗುವದು.
5 ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಕಾಣುವರು ಕರ್ತನ ಬಾಯಿಯೇ ಇದನ್ನು ನುಡಿದದೆ ಎಂದು ಒಬ್ಬನು ಕೂಗುತ್ತಾನೆ.
6 ವಾಣಿಯು ಕೂಗು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತದೆ. ಅವನು--ನಾನು ಏನು ಕೂಗಲಿ ಅನ್ನಲು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ನರಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಹುಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕರ್ತನ ಶ್ವಾಸವು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಸುವದರಿಂದ ಅವರ ಲಾವಣ್ಯವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹೊಲದ ಹೂವಿನಂತಿದೆ.
7 ಹುಲ್ಲು ಒಣಗಿ ಹೋಗು ವದು ಹೂವು ಬಾಡಿಹೋಗುವದು. ಕರ್ತನ ಆತ್ಮ ಅವುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಊದುವನು; ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಜನರು ಹುಲ್ಲೇ.
8 ಹುಲ್ಲು ಒಣಗಿಹೋಗುವದು ಹೂವು ಬಾಡಿಹೋಗುವದು. ಆದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಸದಾಕಾಲ ನಿಲ್ಲುವದು ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರವಾಯಿತು.
1 Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.
2 Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the Lord’s hand double for all her sins.
3 The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
4 Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:
5 And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.
6 The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:
7 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the Lord bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass.
8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

4 ಎಲ್ಲಾ ತಗ್ಗುಗಳು ಮುಚ್ಚಲ್ಪಡಲಿ, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಬೆಟ್ಟ ಗುಡ್ಡ ಗಳು ತಗ್ಗಿಸಲ್ಪಡಲಿ, ಕೊರಕಲ ನೆಲವು ಸಮವಾಗು ವದು; ಕರ್ತನ ಮಹಿಮೆಯು ಗೋಚರವಾಗುವದು.
Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:
5 ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಕಾಣುವರು ಕರ್ತನ ಬಾಯಿಯೇ ಇದನ್ನು ನುಡಿದದೆ ಎಂದು ಒಬ್ಬನು ಕೂಗುತ್ತಾನೆ.
And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.
6 ವಾಣಿಯು ಕೂಗು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತದೆ. ಅವನು--ನಾನು ಏನು ಕೂಗಲಿ ಅನ್ನಲು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ನರಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಹುಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕರ್ತನ ಶ್ವಾಸವು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಸುವದರಿಂದ ಅವರ ಲಾವಣ್ಯವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹೊಲದ ಹೂವಿನಂತಿದೆ.

7 ಹುಲ್ಲು ಒಣಗಿ ಹೋಗು ವದು ಹೂವು ಬಾಡಿಹೋಗುವದು. ಕರ್ತನ ಆತ್ಮ ಅವುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಊದುವನು; ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಜನರು ಹುಲ್ಲೇ.
