Genesis 45:6
ಈ ಎರಡು ವರುಷಗಳ ವರೆಗೆ ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ಷಾಮವಿತ್ತು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಐದು ವರುಷಗಳ ವರೆಗೆ ಬಿತ್ತುವದೂ ಕೊಯ್ಯುವದೂ ಇರುವದಿಲ್ಲ.

ಭೂಮುಖದ ಮೇಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಬರವಿತ್ತು. ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಧಾನ್ಯವಿದ್ದ ಕಣಜಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ತೆರೆದು ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಮಾರಿದನು. ಆಗ ಬರವು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಠಿಣವಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ಆ ವರುಷವಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಎರಡನೆಯ ವರುಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಹಣವೂ ಪಶುಗಳ ಮಂದೆಗಳೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಒಡೆಯನ ವಶವಾಗಿ ಮುಗಿದಿರುವದರಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ಶರೀರಗಳೂ ಭೂಮಿಗಳೂ ಹೊರತು ನಮ್ಮ ಒಡೆಯನ ಮುಂದೆ ಏನೂ ಉಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲವೆಂಬದನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಒಡೆಯನಿಗೆ ಮರೆಮಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
Genesis 47:23
ಆಗ ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಜನರಿಗೆ--ಇಗೋ, ಇಂದು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನೂ ಫರೋಹನಿಗಾಗಿ ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಇಗೋ, ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಬೀಜವಿದೆ. ನೀವು ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೀಜಬಿತ್ತಿರಿ.
