Genesis 43:18
ಅವರು ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಮನೆಗೆ ತರಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟು--ಹಿಂದೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಚೀಲಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಸೇರಿದ ಹಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ದಾಸರನ್ನಾಗಿಮಾಡಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಕತ್ತೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ತಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಎಂದು ಅಂದರು.

Deuteronomy 22:17

ಆಗ ಅವರು--ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದರನ ಅಪರಾಧವು ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಇದೆ. ಅವನು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡಾಗ ಅವನ ಪ್ರಾಣ ಸಂಕಟವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿಯೂ ಕೇಳದೆ ಹೋದೆವು. ಆದಕಾರಣ ಈ ಸಂಕಟವು ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಂದಿತು ಎಂದು ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡರು.
