Genesis 38 - DBY (Kannada)

1 And it came to pass at that time, that Judah went down from his brethren, and turned in to a man of Adullam whose name was Hirah.ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಆದದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ, ಯೆಹೂದನು ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರ ಬಳಿ ಯಿಂದ ಇಳಿದುಹೋಗಿ ಅದುಲ್ಲಾಮ್ಯನವನಾದ ಹೀರನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋದನು.

2 And Judah saw there the daughter of a Canaanitish man whose name was Shua; and he took her, and went in to her.ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೂದನು ಕಾನಾನ್ಯನಾದ ಶೂಗನ ಮಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಅವಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಅವಳನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿದನು.

3 And she conceived and bore a son; and he called his name Er.ಅವಳು ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿ ಯಾಗಿ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತಳು. ಯೆಹೂದನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಏರ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟನು.

4 And she again conceived and bore a son, and she called his name Onan.ಆಕೆಯು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿ ಯಾಗಿ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಓನಾನ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟಳು.

5 And again she bore a son, and she called his name Shelah; and he was at Chezib when she bore him.ಆಕೆಯು ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಸಾರಿ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಶೇಲಹ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟಳು. ಆಕೆಯು ಅವನನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತಾಗ ಯೆಹೂದನು ಕಜೀಬೂರಿನ ಲ್ಲಿದ್ದನು.

6 And Judah took a wife for Er his firstborn, and her name was Tamar.ಇದಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಯೆಹೂದನು ತನ್ನ ಚೊಚ್ಚಲ ಮಗನಾದ ಏರನಿಗೆ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡನು. ಆಕೆಯ ಹೆಸರು ತಾಮಾರ್‌.

7 And Er, Judah's firstborn, was wicked in the sight of Jehovah, and Jehovah slew him.ಆದರೆ ಯೆಹೂದನ ಚೊಚ್ಚಲ ಮಗನಾದ ಏರನು ಕರ್ತನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದುಷ್ಟನಾಗಿದ್ದದರಿಂದ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಸಾಯಿಸಿದನು.

8 Then Judah said to Onan, Go in to thy brother's wife, and fulfil to her the brother-in-law's duty, and raise up seed to thy brother.ಆಗ ಯೆಹೂದನು ಓನಾನನಿಗೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವಳನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಅಣ್ಣನಿಗೆ ಸಂತತಿಯನ್ನು ಉಂಟು ಮಾಡು ಅಂದನು.

9 But when Onan knew that the seed should not be his own, it came to pass when he went in to his brother's wife, that he spilled [it] on the ground, in order to give no seed to his brother.ಆದರೆ ಓನಾನನು ಆ ಸಂತತಿಯು ತನ್ನದಾಗತಕ್ಕದ್ದಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡು ತನ್ನ ಅಣ್ಣನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋದಾಗ ತನ್ನ ಅಣ್ಣನಿಗೆ ಸಂತತಿಯನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡದ ಹಾಗೆ ತನ್ನ ವೀರ್ಯ ವನ್ನು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಚೆಲ್ಲಿದನು.

10 And the thing which he did was evil in the sight of Jehovah, and he slew him also.ಅವನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು ಕರ್ತನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಕೆಯಾಗಿರಲಿ ಲ್ಲವಾದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆತನು ಇವನನ್ನೂ ಸಾಯಿಸಿದನು.

11 And Judah said to Tamar his daughter-in-law, Remain a widow in thy father's house, until Shelah my son is grown; for he said, Lest he die also, as his brethren. And Tamar went and remained in her father's house.ಆಗ ಯೆಹೂದನು ತನ್ನ ಸೊಸೆಯಾದ ತಾಮಾರ ಳಿಗೆ--ನನ್ನ ಮಗನಾದ ಶೇಲಹನು ದೊಡ್ಡವನಾಗುವ ವರೆಗೆ ವಿಧವೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರು ಅಂದನು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಇವನು ಸಹ ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರ ಹಾಗೆ ಸತ್ತಾನೆಂದು ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡನು. ತಾಮಾರಳು ಹೋಗಿ ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡಿದಳು.

12 And as the days were multiplied, Judah's wife, the daughter of Shua, died. And Judah was comforted, and he went up to his sheep-shearers, to Timnah, he and his friend Hirah the Adullamite.ಬಹಳ ದಿನಗಳಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಯೆಹೂದನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಶೂಗನ ಮಗಳು ಸತ್ತಳು. ಯೆಹೂ ದನು ಆದರಣೆ ಹೊಂದಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ತಾನೂ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತನಾಗಿರುವ ಅದುಲ್ಲಾಮ್ಯನಾದ ಹೀರನೂ ತನ್ನ ಕುರಿಗಳ ಉಣ್ಣೆಯನ್ನು ಕತ್ತರಿಸುವವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಿಮ್ನಾತಿಗೆ ಹೋದನು.

13 And it was told Tamar, saying, Behold thy father-in-law is going up to Timnah to shear his sheep.ಆಗ ತಾಮಾರಳಿಗೆ--ಇಗೋ, ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾವನು ತನ್ನ ಕುರಿಗಳ ಉಣ್ಣೆಯನ್ನು ಕತ್ತರಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ತಿಮ್ನಾತಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದಾಗ

14 And she put the garments of her widowhood off from her, and covered herself with a veil, and wrapped herself, and sat in the entry of Enaim, which is on the way to Timnah; for she saw that Shelah was grown, and she was not given to him as wife.ಆಕೆಯು ವಿಧವೆಯ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದಿಟ್ಟು ಮುಸುಕು ಹಾಕಿ ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡು ತಿಮ್ನಾತಿನ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬಹಿರಂಗ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂತು ಕೊಂಡಳು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಶೇಲಹನು ದೊಡ್ಡವನಾ ಗಿದ್ದರೂ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾಗಿ ಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ ವೆಂದು ನೋಡಿದಳು.

15 And Judah saw her, and took her for a harlot; because she had covered her face.ಯೆಹೂದನು ಅವಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಅವಳು ಮುಖಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವಳು ಸೂಳೆಯೆಂದು ನೆನಸಿಕೊಂಡನು.

16 And he turned aside to her by the way, and said, Come, I pray thee, let me go in to thee; for he did not know that she was his daughter-in-law. And she said, What wilt thou give me, that thou mayest come in to me?ಮಾರ್ಗ ದಿಂದ ಆಕೆಯ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವನು--ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರಗೊಡಿಸು ಅಂದನು. (ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವಳು ತನ್ನ ಸೊಸೆಯೆಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ). ಅವಳು--ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದರೆ ನನಗೆ ಏನು ಕೊಡುವಿ ಅಂದಳು.

17 And he said, I will send [thee] a kid of the goats from the flock. And she said, Wilt thou give [me] a pledge, until thou send it?ಅವನು--ಮಂದೆಯಿಂದ ನಿನಗೆ ಮೇಕೆಯ ಮರಿಯನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿ ಸುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು. ಅವಳು--ನೀನು ಅದನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುವವರೆಗೆ ಈಡುಕೊಡುವಿಯೋ ಅಂದಳು.

18 And he said, What pledge shall I give thee? And she said, Thy signet, and thy lace, and thy staff which is in thy hand. And he gave [it] her, and went in to her; and she conceived by him.ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನು--ನಿನಗೆ ಕೊಡತಕ್ಕ ಈಡು ಏನು ಅಂದಾಗ ಅವಳು--ನಿನ್ನ ಮುದ್ರೆಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಕಡಗ ಗಳೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕೋಲು ಅಂದಳು. ಆಗ ಅವನು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಆಕೆಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಆಕೆಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋದನು. ಹೀಗೆ ಅವಳು ಅವನಿಂದ ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿಯಾದಳು.

19 And she arose and went away; and she laid by her veil from her, and put on the garments of her widowhood.ತರುವಾಯ ಅವಳು ಎದ್ದು ಹೋಗಿ ಮುಸುಕನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದಿಟ್ಟು ತನ್ನ ವಿಧವೆಯ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡಳು.

20 And Judah sent the kid of the goats by the hand of his friend the Adullamite, to receive the pledge from the woman's hand; but he found her not.ಯೆಹೂದನು ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಈಡು ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತನಾದ ಅದುಲ್ಲಾಮ್ಯನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಮೇಕೆಯ ಮರಿಯನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದಾಗ ಆಕೆಯು ಸಿಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.

21 And he asked the men of her place, saying, Where is the prostitute that was at Enaim, by the way-side? And they said, There was no prostitute here.ಅದುಲ್ಲಾಮ್ಯನು ಆಕೆಯ ಊರಿನವರನ್ನು--ಬಹಿರಂಗ ಮಾರ್ಗದ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಸೂಳೆ ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ಅವರು--ಈ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ಸೂಳೆಯೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದರು.

22 And he returned to Judah, and said, I have not found her; and also the men of the place said, No prostitute has been here.ಆಗ ಅವನು ಯೆಹೂದನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಬಂದು--ಆಕೆಯು ನನಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಆ ಸ್ಥಳದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು--ಈ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೂಳೆಯು ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

23 Then Judah said, Let her take [it] for herself, lest we be put to shame. Behold, I sent this kid, and thou hast not found her.ಆಗ ಯೆಹೂದನು--ನಾವು ನಾಚಿಕೆಗೆ ಒಳಗಾಗದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವಳು ಅದನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಲಿ; ಇಗೋ, ಈ ಮೇಕೆಯ ಮರಿಯನ್ನು ನಾನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ದೆನು, ಆದರೆ ಆಕೆಯು ನಿನಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಲಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.

24 And it came to pass about three months after, that it was told Judah, saying, Tamar thy daughter-in-law has committed fornication, and behold, she is also with child by fornication. And Judah said, Bring her forth, that she may be burned.ಹೆಚ್ಚುಕಡಿಮೆ ಮೂರು ತಿಂಗಳಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಯೆಹೂದನಿಗೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ಸೊಸೆಯಾದ ತಾಮಾರಳು ಜಾರತ್ವ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾಳೆ; ಜಾರತ್ವದಿಂದ ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿಯಾಗಿ ದ್ದಾಳೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಆಗ ಯೆಹೂದನು--ಅವಳನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ತನ್ನಿರಿ, ಅವಳು ಸುಡಲ್ಪಡಲಿ ಅಂದನು.

25 When she was brought forth, she sent to her father-in-law, saying, By the man to whom these [belong] am I with child; and she said, Acknowledge, I pray thee, whose are this signet, and this lace, and this staff.ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ತಂದಾಗ ಆಕೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಮಾವನಿಗೆ--ಇವು ಯಾವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನವೋ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಂದಲೇ ನಾನು ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಈ ಮುದ್ರೆಯೂ ಕಡಗಗಳೂ ಕೋಲೂ ಯಾರವೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೋ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡಳು.

26 And Judah acknowledged [them], and said, She is more righteous than I, because I have not given her to Shelah my son. And he knew her again no more.ಆಗ ಯೆಹೂದನು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿ--ಆಕೆಯು ನನಗಿಂತ ನೀತಿವಂತಳು, ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಮಗನಾದ ಶೇಲಹನಿಗೆ ಅವಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು. ಅವನು ಮತ್ತೆ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಅರಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ.

27 And it came to pass at the time of her delivery, that behold, twins were in her womb.ಅವಳು ಹೆರುವ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಗೋ, ಅವಳಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಆಕೆಯ ಗರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರು. ಆಕೆಯು ಹೆರುವಾಗ ಒಂದು (ಮಗುವು) ತನ್ನ ಕೈಚಾಚಿತು.

28 And it came to pass when she brought forth, that one stretched out [his] hand, and the midwife took it and bound round his hand a scarlet thread, saying, This came out first.ಸೂಲ ಗಿತ್ತಿಯು ಆ ಕೈಗೆ ಕೆಂಪು ನೂಲನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿ--ಇವನು ಮೊದಲು ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಂದನು ಅಂದಳು.

29 And it came to pass as he drew back his hand, that behold, his brother came out; and she said, How hast thou broken forth! on thee be the breach! And they called his name Pherez.ಆ ಮಗುವು ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಎಳೆದಾಗ ಇಗೋ, ಅವನ ಸಹೋದರನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಂದನು. ಆಗ ಅವಳು--ನೀನು ಛೇದಿಸಿದ್ದೇನು? ಈ ದೋಷವು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರಲಿ ಅಂದಳು.

30 And afterwards came out his brother, round whose hand was the scarlet thread; and they called his name Zerah.ಹೀಗೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಪೆರೆಚ್‌ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಾಯಿತು. ತರುವಾಯ ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಂಪು ನೂಲು ಇದ್ದ ಅವನ ಸಹೋದರನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಂದನು. ಅವನಿಗೆ ಜೆರಹ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಾಯಿತು.
