ಏಸಾವನು ನೋಡಿ ದಾಗ ಕಾನಾನ್ಯರ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯರು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಇಸಾಕನಿಗೆ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಗೆಯಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದು

ಇಸಾಕನು ಯಾಕೋಬನನ್ನು ಕರೆದು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದೇ ನಂದರೆ--ಕಾನಾನ್ಯರ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಯನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು.
