Genesis 1:28
ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ದೇವರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿದನು. ದೇವರು--ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ತುಂಬಿಕೊಂಡು ಅದನ್ನು ವಶಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ; ಸಮುದ್ರದ ವಿಾನುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಆಕಾಶದ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಚಲಿಸುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಜೀವಿಯ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ದೊರೆತನಮಾಡಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು.

ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ನಾನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿ ಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಆಕೆಯಿಂದ ನಿನಗೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಸಹ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಹೌದು, ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ತಾಯಿಯಾ ಗುವಂತೆ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಆಕೆಯಿಂದ ಜನರ ಅರಸರು ಹುಟ್ಟುವರು ಅಂದನು.

ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಬಾರದೆಂತಲೂ ಯಾರು ನಂಬುವವರಾಗಿದ್ದು ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಗ್ರಹಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೋ ಅವರು ಕೃತಜ್ಞತಾಸ್ತುತಿ ಮಾಡಿ ತಿನ್ನುವದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ದೇವರು ಉಂಟು ಮಾಡಿದ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನಬಾರ ದೆಂತಲೂ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
