ಆದರೆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳಾದ ಹಗ್ಗಾಯನೂ ಇದ್ದೋನನ ಮಗನಾದ ಜೆಕರ್ಯನೂ ಯೆಹೂದ ಮತ್ತು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಿಗೆ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ದೇವರ ನಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸಿದರು.

ಅರಸನಾದ ದಾರ್ಯಾವೆಷನ ಎರಡನೇ ವರುಷದ, ಆರನೇ ತಿಂಗಳಿನ ಮೊದಲನೇ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಹಗ್ಗಾಯನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯಾದ ಶೆಯಲ್ತಿ ಯೇಲನ ಮಗನಾದ ಜೆರುಬ್ಬಾಬೆಲನಿಗೂ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಚಾದಾಕನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನಿಗೂ ಉಂಟಾಯಿತು.

ಜೆಕರ್ಯ 4:6
ನಾನು--ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನೇ, ಇಲ್ಲ ಅಂದೆನು. ಆಗ ಅವನು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಜೆರುಬ್ಬಾಬೆಲನಿಗೆ ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಇದೇ--ಬಲ ದಿಂದಲ್ಲ, ಶಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದಲ್ಲ, ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮದಿಂದಲೇ ಎಂದು ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.

ಆತನು ಕರ್ತನ ಬಲದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ತನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಘನತೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡು ಮೇಯಿಸುವನು; ಮತ್ತು ಅವರು ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿರುವರು, ಈಗ ಆತನು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಅಂತ್ಯಗಳ ಮಟ್ಟಿಗೂ ದೊಡ್ಡವನಾಗಿ ರುವನು.
