Leviticus 21:7
ಅವರು ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಅಪವಿತ್ರಳನ್ನು ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾಗಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು; ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಗಂಡನಿಂದ ಬಿಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು; ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

Leviticus 21:8
ಅವನು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸುವ ಕಾರಣ ನೀನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಶುದ್ಧೀಕರಿಸ ಬೇಕು, ಅವನು ನನಗೆ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧನಾಗಿರುವನು. ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಶುದ್ಧೀಕರಿಸುವ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ನಾನು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧನು.
Deuteronomy 24:1
ಒಬ್ಬನು ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಅವಳಿಗೆ ಗಂಡನಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಶುದ್ಧ ವಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ನೋಡುವದರಿಂದ ಅವಳಿಗೆ ಅವನಿಂದ ಕಟಾಕ್ಷವಾಗದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವಳಿಗೆ ತ್ಯಾಗಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ಬರೆದು ಅವಳ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಅವಳನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಡಬೇಕು.
