ಚಿದ್ಕೀಯನು ಆಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದಾಗ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತೊಂದು ವರುಷದವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು; ಅವನು ಹನ್ನೊಂದು ವರುಷ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಳಿದನು; ಅವನ ತಾಯಿಯ ಹೆಸರು ಲಿಬ್ನದವನಾದ ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನ ಮಗಳಾದ ಹಮೂಟಲ್‌.
