ಆದರೆ--ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಬೇಡ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನಮಗೆ ಹೊಲದಲ್ಲಿ, ಗೋಧಿ, ಜವೆಗೋಧಿ, ಎಣ್ಣೆ, ಜೇನು, ಇರುವ ನಿಕ್ಷೇಪಗ ಳುಂಟೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ ಹತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದರು; ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಹಿಂತೆಗೆದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಅವರ ಸಹೋದರರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಂದು ಹಾಕಲಿಲ್ಲ.
