Genesis 17:19
ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ದೇವರು--ನಿಶ್ಚಯ ವಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾದ ಸಾರಳು ನಿನಗೆ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಹೆರುವಳು. ಅವನಿಗೆ ಇಸಾಕನೆಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಡಬೇಕು. ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡಲೂ ತರುವಾಯ ಹುಟ್ಟುವ ಅವನ ಸಂತತಿಯವರ ಸಂಗಡಲೂ ನನ್ನ ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾದ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುವೆನು.

Genesis 26:3

ಆಗ ಅವನು--ನೀನು ಬರುವ ವರುಷ ಇದೇ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಅಪ್ಪಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿ ಅಂದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕವಳುಹಾಗಲ್ಲ, ದೇವರ ಮನುಷ್ಯನೇ, ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕಳಿಗೆ ನೀನು ಸುಳ್ಳು ಹೇಳಬೇಡ ಅಂದಳು.

ಆದರೆ ಬರುವ ವರುಷ ಈ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾರಳು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೆರುವ ಇಸಾಕನ ಸಂಗಡ ನನ್ನ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುವೆನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
