Ezra 7:21
ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅರಸನಾಗಿರುವ ಆರ್ತಷಸ್ತನಾದ ನಾನು ನದಿಯ ಆಚೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಬೊಕ್ಕಸದವ ರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುವ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಏನಂದರೆ--

ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು, ಅದರ ಗೋಡೆ ತೀರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟರೆ ನದಿಯ ಈಚೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನಗೆ ಭಾಗವಿರುವದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬದಾಗಿ ನಾವು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಮಾಡುತ್ತೇವೆ ಎಂದು ಬರೆದು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದರು.

ನದಿಯ ಆಚೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಳುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಗಳಾದ ಅರಸು ಗಳು ಇದ್ದರು; ಸುಂಕವೂ ಕಪ್ಪವೂ ತೆರಿಗೆಯೂ ಅವ ರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವು ಎಂದು ಕಾಣಿಸಿತು.

ಆದಕಾರಣ ನದಿಯ ಆಚೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅಧಿಪತಿ ಯಾದ ತತ್ತೆನೈಯನೇ, ಶೆತರ್ಬೋಜೆನೈಯೇ, ನದಿಯ ಆಚೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅಪರ್ಸತ್ಕಾಯರಾದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಜೊತೆ ಗಾರರು ಸಹ ಆ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ದೂರವಾಗಿರ್ರಿ.

ಎಜ್ರನು ಕರ್ತನ ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣವನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿ ಸುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಅದರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಇಸ್ರಾ ಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನೇಮನ್ಯಾಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕಲಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೂ ತನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದನು.
