Esther 2:2
ಆಗ ಅರಸನನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸುವ ದಾಸರು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಅರಸನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ರೂಪವತಿಯಾದ ಕನ್ಯಾಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರು ಹುಡುಕಲ್ಪಡಲಿ.

ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠರಾಗಿ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡು ಅರಸನ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಪಾರಸಿಯ ಮೇಧ್ಯಗಳ ಏಳುಮಂದಿ ಪ್ರಧಾನರಾದ ಕರ್ಷೆನಾ, ಶೇತಾರ್, ಆದ್ಮಾತನು, ತರ್ಷೀಷನು.

ಅವರು ಇನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಅರಸನ ಮನೆ ವಾರ್ತೆಯವರು ಬಂದು ಎಸ್ತೇರಳು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿಸಿದ ಔತಣಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾಮಾನನನ್ನು ಕರಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಲು ತ್ವರೆಮಾಡಿದರು
