ಆಗ ಅರಸನು ತನ್ನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಪ್ರಧಾನರಿಗೂ ಸೇವಕರಿಗೂ ಎಸ್ತೇರಳ ಔತಣವೆಂದು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಔತಣವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯ ಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಅರಸನ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕಂಥ ಬಹುಮಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.

ಏನಂದರೆ, ಆ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ತಮ್ಮ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿ ಹೊಂದಿದರು. ಆ ತಿಂಗಳು ದುಃಖದಿಂದ ಸಂತೋಷಕ್ಕೂ ಗೋಳಾಡುವಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಸುದಿನಕ್ಕೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಯಿತು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಆ ದಿವಸಗಳನ್ನು ಹಬ್ಬದ ದಿವಸಗಳಾಗಿಯೂ ಸಂತೋಷದ ದಿವಸಗಳಾಗಿಯೂ ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊಬ್ಬರು ಭಾಗಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುವ ದಿವಸಗಳಾಗಿಯೂ ಬಡವ ರಿಗೆ ದಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವ ದಿವಸಗಳಾಗಿಯೂ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು ಎಂಬದು.

ಅರಸನ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕಂತೆ ರಾಜರ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸ ವನ್ನು ನಾನಾವಿಧವಾದ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗಿ ಕುಡಿಯಲು ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
