Ecclesiastes 2:19
ಅವನು ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯೋ ಮೂಢ ನೋ ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತು? ಆದರೂ ನಾನು ಪಟ್ಟ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಯಾಸದ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಕೆಳಗೆ ನಾನು ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯೆಂದು ತೋರ್ಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡವರ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಅವನು ಆಳುವನು. ಇದೂ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವೇ.

ಆದರೆ ಮೇಲಣಿಂದ ಬರುವ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಮೊದಲು ನಿರ್ಮಲವಾದದ್ದು, ಆಮೇಲೆ ಸಮಾಧಾನಕರವಾದದ್ದು, ವಿನಯವುಳ್ಳದ್ದು, ಸುಲಭವಾಗಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂಥದು, ಕರುಣೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ಒಳ್ಳೇ ಫಲಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ತುಂಬಿರುವಂಥದ್ದು ಆಗಿದೆ; ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಪಕ್ಷಪಾತವೂ ಕಪಟವೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.
