ಪೌಲನನ್ನು ಸಾಗಕಳುಹಿಸಿದವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಅಥೇನೆಯವರೆಗೂ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ಸೀಲ ನನ್ನೂ ತಿಮೊಥೆಯನನ್ನೂ ಬೇಗ ತನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರ ಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯನ್ನು ಅವನಿಂದ ಹೊಂದಿ ಹೊರಟುಹೋದರು.

ಸತ್ತವರ ಪುನರುತ್ಥಾನದ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ಕೆಲವರು ಅಪಹಾಸ್ಯ ಮಾಡಿದರು; ಬೇರೆ ಕೆಲವರು--ನೀನು ಈ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳುವದನ್ನು ನಾವು ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಸಾರಿ ಕೇಳುತ್ತೇವೆ ಅಂದರು.
