ಆಗ ಸೌಲನು (ಇವನು ಪೌಲನೆಂಬದಾಗಿಯೂ ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವನು) ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮಭರಿತನಾಗಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿ ನೋಡಿ--

ಆಗ ಆತನು ಅವರ ಹೃದಯಗಳ ಕಾಠಿಣ್ಯತೆಗಾಗಿ ದುಃಖಪಟ್ಟು ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಕೋಪದಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಚಾಚು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಅವನು ಚಾಚಿದಾಗ ಅವನ ಕೈಗುಣವಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತೊಂದರ ಹಾಗಾಯಿತು.
