ಆದರೆ ದಾವೀದನು ಎರಡು ಬಾಗಲುಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತಿದ್ದನು. ಕಾವಲುಗಾರನು ಗೋಪುರದ ಮಾಳಿಗೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಏರಿ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನೆತ್ತಿ ನೋಡಲಾಗಿ ಇಗೋ, ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಒಂಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಓಡಿ ಬರು ತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
