ತರುವಾಯ ದಾವೀದನು ಎದ್ದು ಗವಿ ಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಸೌಲನ ಹಿಂದೆ--ಅರಸನಾದ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನೇ ಎಂದು ಕೂಗಿದನು. ಸೌಲನು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ದಾವೀದನು ನೆಲದ ವರೆಗೆ ಬೊಗ್ಗಿ ವಂದಿಸಿದನು.
