ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಕೆಳಗೆ ನಡೆಯುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕೆಲಸಗಳನ್ನು ನಾನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಇಗೋ, ಎಲ್ಲವು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವೂ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಆಯಾಸವೂ ಆಗಿವೆ.

ದೇವರು ತನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ವನಿಗೆ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನೂ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನೂ ಆನಂದವನ್ನೂ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ದೇವರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕೂಡಿಸಿ ಒದಗಿಸು ವಂತೆ ಪಾಪಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಯಾಸವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವೂ ಪ್ರಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಆಯಾಸಕರವೂ ಆಗಿದೆ.
