Deuteronomy 9
15 ಆಗ ನಾನು ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಬೆಟ್ಟದಿಂದ ಇಳಿದೆನು; ಆ ಬೆಟ್ಟವು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಉರಿಯುತ್ತಿತ್ತು; ಒಡಂಬಡಿ ಕೆಯ ಎರಡು ಹಲಗೆಗಳು ನನ್ನ ಎರಡು ಕೈಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದವು.
16 ನಾನು ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಇಗೋ, ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಪಾಪ ಮಾಡಿ ಎರಕ ಹೊಯ್ದ ಕರುವನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಂಡು ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಬೇಗ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಗಿದ್ದಿರಿ.
17 ಆಗ ನಾನು ಆ ಎರಡು ಹಲಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ನನ್ನ ಎರಡು ಕೈಗಳಿಂದ ಬಿಸಾಡಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕಣ್ಣು ಮುಂದೆ ಒಡೆದು ಹಾಕಿದೆನು.
18 ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ನೀವು ಮಾಡಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಾಪಗಳ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವೂ ನೀವು ಕರ್ತನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನುಮಾಡಿ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಕೋಪವನ್ನೆಬ್ಬಿಸಿದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವೂ ಮುಂಚಿನಂತೆ ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ಹಗಲು ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ರಾತ್ರಿ ರೊಟ್ಟಿ ತಿನ್ನದೆ, ನೀರು ಕುಡಿಯದೆ, ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಾನು ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದೆನು.
19 ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಕೋಪ ರೌದ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೆದರಿದೆನು; ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕರ್ತನು ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
20 ಆರೋನನನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಬಹಳ ಕೋಪ ಗೊಂಡನು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಆರೋನನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ಆ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಮಾಡಿದೆನು.
21 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನೀವು ಮಾಡಿದ ಪಾಪವಾಗಿರುವ ಆ ಕರುವನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಟ್ಟು ತುಳಿದು ಅದು ಧೂಳಿ ನಂತೆ ಪುಡಿಯಾಗುವ ವರೆಗೆ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಅರೆದು ಅದರ ಧೂಳನ್ನು ಬೆಟ್ಟದಿಂದ ಹರಿಯುವ ಹಳ್ಳದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಹಾಕಿದೆನು.
15 So I turned and came down from the mount, and the mount burned with fire: and the two tables of the covenant were in my two hands.
16 And I looked, and, behold, ye had sinned against the Lord your God, and had made you a molten calf: ye had turned aside quickly out of the way which the Lord had commanded you.
17 And I took the two tables, and cast them out of my two hands, and brake them before your eyes.
18 And I fell down before the Lord, as at the first, forty days and forty nights: I did neither eat bread, nor drink water, because of all your sins which ye sinned, in doing wickedly in the sight of the Lord, to provoke him to anger.
19 For I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure, wherewith the Lord was wroth against you to destroy you. But the Lord hearkened unto me at that time also.
20 And the Lord was very angry with Aaron to have destroyed him: and I prayed for Aaron also the same time.
21 And I took your sin, the calf which ye had made, and burnt it with fire, and stamped it, and ground it very small, even until it was as small as dust: and I cast the dust thereof into the brook that descended out of the mount.

16 ನಾನು ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಇಗೋ, ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಪಾಪ ಮಾಡಿ ಎರಕ ಹೊಯ್ದ ಕರುವನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಂಡು ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಬೇಗ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಗಿದ್ದಿರಿ.

17 ಆಗ ನಾನು ಆ ಎರಡು ಹಲಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ನನ್ನ ಎರಡು ಕೈಗಳಿಂದ ಬಿಸಾಡಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕಣ್ಣು ಮುಂದೆ ಒಡೆದು ಹಾಕಿದೆನು.
And I took the two tables, and cast them out of my two hands, and brake them before your eyes.
18 ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ನೀವು ಮಾಡಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಾಪಗಳ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವೂ ನೀವು ಕರ್ತನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನುಮಾಡಿ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಕೋಪವನ್ನೆಬ್ಬಿಸಿದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವೂ ಮುಂಚಿನಂತೆ ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ಹಗಲು ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ರಾತ್ರಿ ರೊಟ್ಟಿ ತಿನ್ನದೆ, ನೀರು ಕುಡಿಯದೆ, ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಾನು ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದೆನು.
And I fell down before the Lord, as at the first, forty days and forty nights: I did neither eat bread, nor drink water, because of all your sins which ye sinned, in doing wickedly in the sight of the Lord, to provoke him to anger.
19 ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಕೋಪ ರೌದ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೆದರಿದೆನು; ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕರ್ತನು ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
For I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure, wherewith the Lord was wroth against you to destroy you. But the Lord hearkened unto me at that time also.
20 ಆರೋನನನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಬಹಳ ಕೋಪ ಗೊಂಡನು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಆರೋನನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ಆ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಮಾಡಿದೆನು.
And the Lord was very angry with Aaron to have destroyed him: and I prayed for Aaron also the same time.
21 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನೀವು ಮಾಡಿದ ಪಾಪವಾಗಿರುವ ಆ ಕರುವನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಟ್ಟು ತುಳಿದು ಅದು ಧೂಳಿ ನಂತೆ ಪುಡಿಯಾಗುವ ವರೆಗೆ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಅರೆದು ಅದರ ಧೂಳನ್ನು ಬೆಟ್ಟದಿಂದ ಹರಿಯುವ ಹಳ್ಳದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಹಾಕಿದೆನು.
And I took your sin, the calf which ye had made, and burnt it with fire, and stamped it, and ground it very small, even until it was as small as dust: and I cast the dust thereof into the brook that descended out of the mount.
