Deuteronomy 5 - DBY (Kannada)

1 And Moses called to all Israel, and said to them, Hear, Israel, the statutes and the ordinances that I speak in your ears this day, and learn them, and keep them to do them.ಆಗ ಮೋಶೆಯು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕರೆದು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಓ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲೇ, ನಾನು ಈಹೊತ್ತು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುವ ನಿಯಮಗಳನ್ನೂ ನ್ಯಾಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೇಳಿರಿ; ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಲಿತು ಕೈಕೊಂಡು ನಡೆಯಬೇಕು.

2 Jehovah our God made a covenant with us in Horeb.ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೋರೇ ಬಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಆ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು.

3 Not with our fathers did Jehovah make this covenant, but with us, [even] us, those [who are] here alive all of us this day.ಕರ್ತನು ಆ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಅಲ್ಲ, ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡವೇ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಈಹೊತ್ತು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಜೀವಿತರಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ.

4 Face to face on the mountain from the midst of the fire Jehovah spoke with youಮುಖಾಮುಖಿಯಾಗಿ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಬೆಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಕಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದನು.

5 (I stood between Jehovah and you at that time, to declare to you the word of Jehovah; for ye were afraid by reason of the fire, and went not up to the mountain), saying,(ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೂ ನಿಮಗೂ ನಡುವೆ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದೆನು; ನೀವು ಆ ಬೆಂಕಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟು ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಮೇಲೆ ಏರಲಿಲ್ಲ.) ಆತನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--

6 I am Jehovah thy God who have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಅಂದರೆ ದಾಸ ತ್ವದ ಮನೆಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಾನೇ.

7 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿನಗೆ ಬೇರೆ ದೇವರುಗಳು ಇರಬಾರದು.

8 Thou shalt not make thyself any graven image, any form of what is in the heavens above, or what is in the earth beneath, or what is in the waters under the earth:ಮೇಲಿನ ಆಕಾಶ ದಲ್ಲಾಗಲಿ ಕೆಳಗಿನ ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಾಗಲಿ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಕೆಳಗಿನ ನೀರುಗಳಲ್ಲಾಗಲಿ ಇರುವಂಥ ಯಾವ ದೊಂದರ ರೂಪದ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು,

9 thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them; for I, Jehovah thy God, am a jealous ùGod, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the sons, and upon the third and upon the fourth [generation] of them that hate me,ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬೀಳಲೂಬಾರದು, ಸೇವಿಸಲೂಬಾರದು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನಾಗಿರುವ ನಾನು ರೋಷವುಳ್ಳ ದೇವರಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಗೆಮಾಡುವವರಲ್ಲಿ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಅಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಮೂರನೆಯ ನಾಲ್ಕನೆಯ ತಲಾಂತರದ ವರೆಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.

10 and shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಮಾಡಿ ನನ್ನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಳ್ಳುವವರಿಗೆ ಸಾವಿರಗಳ ವರೆಗೆ ಕರುಣೆ ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.

11 Thou shalt not idly utter the name of Jehovah thy God; for Jehovah will not hold him guiltless that idly uttereth his name.ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಎತ್ತಬೇಡ; ಕರ್ತನು ತನ್ನ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಎತ್ತುವವನನ್ನು ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಯೆಂದು ಎಣಿಸುವದಿಲ್ಲ.

12 Keep the sabbath day to hallow it, as Jehovah thy God hath commanded thee.ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಸಬ್ಬತ್‌ ದಿವಸವನ್ನು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡು.

13 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work;ಆರು ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ದುಡಿದು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು.

14 but the seventh day is the sabbath of Jehovah thy God: thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy bondman, nor thy handmaid, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy sojourner that is within thy gates; that thy bondman and thy handmaid may rest as well as thou.ಏಳನೇ ದಿವಸವು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನ ಸಬ್ಬತ್‌ ದಿವಸವೇ; ಅದ ರಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗನೂ ಮಗಳೂ ದಾಸನೂ ದಾಸಿಯೂ ಎತ್ತೂ ಕತ್ತೆಯೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾಪಶುಗಳೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಬಾಗಲುಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪರವಾಸಿಯೂ ಯಾವ ಕೆಲಸ ವನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಬಾರದು. ನಿನ್ನ ದಾಸನೂ ದಾಸಿಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಹಾಗೆ ವಿಶ್ರಮಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.

15 And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt, and that Jehovah thy God brought thee out thence with a powerful hand and with a stretched-out arm; therefore Jehovah thy God hath commanded thee to observe the sabbath day.ನೀನು ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ದಾಸನಾಗಿದ್ದಿ ಎಂದೂ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಬಲವಾದ ಕೈಯಿಂದಲೂ ಚಾಚಿದ ತೋಳಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದ ನೆಂದೂ ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಆದಕಾರಣ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನಗೆ ಸಬ್ಬತ್‌ ದಿವಸವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

16 Honour thy father and thy mother, as Jehovah thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may be well with thee in the land which Jehovah thy God giveth thee.ನಿನ್ನ ದಿವಸಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನಗೆ ಕೊಡುವ ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇದಾಗುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದಂತೆ ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯನ್ನೂ ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸು.

17 Thou shalt not kill.ಕೊಲ್ಲಬೇಡ

18 Neither shalt thou commit adultery.ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರ ಮಾಡಬೇಡ.

19 Neither shalt thou steal.ಕದಿಯಬೇಡ.

20 Neither shalt thou bear false witness against thy neighbour.ನಿನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಸುಳ್ಳುಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಹೇಳಬೇಡ.

21 Neither shalt thou desire thy neighbour's wife, neither shalt thou covet thy neighbour's house, his field, nor his bondman, nor his handmaid, his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbour's.ನಿನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ಆಶಿಸಬೇಡ; ನೆರೆಯವನ ಮನೆಯನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಹೊಲವನ್ನೂ ದಾಸ ದಾಸಿಯರನ್ನೂ ಪಶು ಕತ್ತೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನಿಗೆ ಇರುವ ಯಾವದನ್ನೂ ಆಶಿಸಬೇಡ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

22 These words Jehovah spoke to all your congregation on the mountain from the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the obscurity, with a great voice, and he added no more; and he wrote them on two tables of stone, and gave them to me.ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನು ಬೆಂಕಿಯ ಮೇಘದ ಕಾರ್ಗತ್ತಲೆಯ ಮಧ್ಯದಿಂದಲೂ ಮಹಾಶಬ್ದ ದಿಂದಲೂ ಬೆಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಭೆಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹೇಳಿದನು; ಹೆಚ್ಚೇನೂ ಕೂಡಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಆತನು ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಎರಡು ಹಲಗೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.

23 And it came to pass, when ye heard the voice from the midst of the darkness, and the mountain burned with fire, that ye came near to me, all the heads of your tribes, and your elders;(ಆ ಬೆಟ್ಟವು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಉರಿಯುತ್ತಿರಲಾಗಿ ನೀವು ಕತ್ತಲೆಯಿಂದ ಆ ಶಬ್ದವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಗೋತ್ರ ಗಳ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹಿರಿಯರೂ ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ನನಗೆ)

24 and ye said, Behold, Jehovah our God has shewn us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice from the midst of the fire: we have seen this day that God talks with man, and he lives.ಇಗೋ, ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ತನ್ನ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನೂ ತನ್ನ ಘನವನ್ನೂ ನಮಗೆ ತೋರಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಆತನ ಶಬ್ದವನ್ನು ಬೆಂಕಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇವೆ; ದೇವರು ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತ ನಾಡಲು ಅವರು ಬದುಕುತ್ತಾರೆಂದು ಈಹೊತ್ತು ನೋಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ.

25 And now, why should we die? for this great fire will consume us. If we hear the voice of Jehovah our God any more, we shall die.ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಈಗ ನಾವು ಯಾಕೆ ಸಾಯಬೇಕು? ಈ ಮಹಾಅಗ್ನಿಯು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ದಹಿಸಿಬಿಡುವದು; ನಾವು ಇನ್ನೂ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನ ಶಬ್ದವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದರೆ ಸಾಯುತ್ತೇವೆ.

26 For who is there of all flesh, that has heard the voice of the living God speaking from the midst of the fire, as we, and has lived?ಸಮಸ್ತ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರು ನಮ್ಮ ಹಾಗೆ ಬೆಂಕಿಯೊಳ ಗಿಂದ ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ಜೀವವುಳ್ಳ ದೇವರ ಶಬ್ದವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಬದುಕಿದರು?

27 Come thou near, and hear all that Jehovah our God will say; and speak thou to us all that Jehovah our God will speak to thee; and we will hear it, and do it.ನೀನೇ ಸವಿಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುವದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕೇಳಿ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನೀನೇ ನಮಗೆ ಹೇಳು; ಆಗ ನಾವು ಕೇಳಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವೆವು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದಿರಿ.

28 And Jehovah heard the voice of your words, when ye spoke to me; and Jehovah said unto me, I have heard the voice of the words of this people that have spoken to thee: they have well spoken all that they have spoken.ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದಾಗ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಾತುಗಳ ಶಬ್ದವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ನನಗೆ--ಈ ಜನರು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತುಗಳ ಶಬ್ದವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ದ್ದೇನೆ. ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೆಲ್ಲಾ ಒಳ್ಳೇದು.

29 Oh that there were such a heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments continually, that it might be well with them and with their sons for ever!ಅವರು ನನಗೆ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟು ನನ್ನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ಕೈಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂಥ ಹೃದಯವು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರೆ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಒಳ್ಳೇದು; ಆಗ ಅವರಿಗೂ ಅವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೂ ಎಂದೆಂ ದಿಗೂ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದಾಗುವದು.

30 Go, say unto them, Get you into your tents again.ನೀನು ಹೋಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನಿಮ್ಮ ಡೇರೆಗಳಿಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳು.

31 But as for thee, stand thou here by me, and I will speak unto thee all the commandments, and the statutes, and the ordinances, which thou shalt teach them, that they may do them in the land which I give them to possess it.ನೀನಾದರೋ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ನಿಂತು ಕೋ; ಆಗ ನೀನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸತಕ್ಕಂಥ ಮತ್ತು ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡುವ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಮಾಡತಕ್ಕಂಥ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಆಜ್ಞೆ ನಿಯಮ ನ್ಯಾಯ ಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳುವೆನು ಅಂದನು.

32 Take heed then to do as Jehovah your God hath commanded you: turn not aside to the right hand or to the left.ಹೀಗಿರುವದರಿಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಕೈಕೊಂಡು ನಡೆಯಬೇಕು; ಎಡಕ್ಕಾದರೂ ಬಲಕ್ಕಾದರೂ ತಿರುಗಬೇಡಿರಿ.

33 In all the way that Jehovah your God hath commanded you shall ye walk, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess.ನೀವು ಬದುಕುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ನಿಮಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದಾಗುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ನೀವು ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದಿವಸಗಳು ಬಹಳವಾಗುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಮಾರ್ಗ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಡಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.
