ಕರ್ತನ ಕೋಪವು ಈ ದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೆ ಈ ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುವ ಶಾಪವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ತರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಉರಿಯಿತು.

Deuteronomy 29:20
ಅಂಥವನನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನು ಉಳಿಸುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಆಗಲೇ ಕರ್ತನ ಕೋಪವೂ ರೋಷವೂ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊಗೆ ಹಾಯುವವು. ಈ ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿ ರುವ ಶಾಪವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ನೆಲೆಯಾಗುವದು; ಕರ್ತನು ಅವನ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಆಕಾಶದ ಕೆಳಗಿನಿಂದ ಅಳಿಸಿಬಿಡುವನು.
