ನದಿಯ ನೀರಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಂತು ನಾರು ಬಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ತನ್ನ ಎಡಗೈಯನ್ನೂ ಬಲಗೈಯನ್ನೂ ಆಕಾಶದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಎತ್ತಿ ಸದಾಕಾಲ ಜೀವಂತವಾಗಿರುವಾತನ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಣೆ ಇಟ್ಟು--ಅದು ಕಾಲ, ಕಾಲಗಳು, ಅರ್ಧಕಾಲ ಇರುವದೆಂದೂ ಆತನು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಜನರ ಬಲವನ್ನು ಚದರಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಇವೆಲ್ಲವುಗಳು ಈಡೇರುವವೆಂದೂ ಅಂದದ್ದನ್ನು ನಾನು ಕೇಳಿದೆನು.

ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾರಿಹೋಗುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಆಕೆಗೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಹದ್ದಿನ ಎರಡು ರೆಕ್ಕೆಗಳು ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವು; ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಕಾಲ, ಕಾಲಗಳು, ಅರ್ಧ ಕಾಲ ಸರ್ಪನ ಮುಖಕ್ಕೆ ಮರೆಯಾಗಿ ಪೋಷಣೆ ಹೊಂದುತ್ತಾಳೆ.

ಆ ಕೊನೆಯ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನಾದ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಪರ ಲೋಕದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಎತ್ತಿದೆನು; ನನ್ನ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆ ನನಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿ ಬಂತು; ಆಗ ನಾನು ಮಹೋನ್ನತನನ್ನು ಸ್ತುತಿಸಿ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಜೀವಿಸುವಾತನೂ ನಿತ್ಯವಾದ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆ ಯನ್ನು ಆಳುವಾತನನ್ನು ತಲತಲಾಂತರಗಳ ವರೆಗೂ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಉಳ್ಳಾತನನ್ನು ಹೊಗಳಿ ಘನಪಡಿಸಿದೆನು.
ಲೂಕನು 21:24
ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವರು ಕತ್ತಿಯ ಬಾಯಿಗೆ ಬೀಳುವರು. ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಯ್ಯ ಲ್ಪಡುವರು;ಅನ್ಯಜನಗಳ ಕಾಲಗಳು ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣ ವಾಗುವ ವರೆಗೆ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮು ಅನ್ಯಜನಗಳಿಂದ ತುಳಿದಾಡಲ್ಪಡುವದು.

ಆದರೆ ಆಲಯದ ಹೊರಗಿರುವ ಅಂಗಳವನ್ನು ಅಳೆಯದೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅದು ಅನ್ಯ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ. ಅವರು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತೆರಡು ತಿಂಗಳು ತುಳಿದಾಡುವರು.

ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ಅರಣ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಓಡಿ ಹೋದಳು; ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕೆಗೆ ಸಾವಿರದ ಇನ್ನೂರ ಅರವತ್ತು ದಿನಗಳವರೆಗೆ ಪೋಷಣೆಯಾಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ದೇವರು ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದ್ದನು.
ಪ್ರಕಟನೆ 13:5
ಬಡಾಯಿ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನೂ ದೂಷಣೆಯ ಮಾತು ಗಳನ್ನೂ ಆಡುವ ಬಾಯಿ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು. ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತೆರಡು ತಿಂಗಳುಗಳವರೆಗೆ ಮುಂದುವರಿಯುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರವು ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು.

ಇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿ ಮುಗಿಸಿದ ನಂತರ ತಳವಿಲ್ಲದ ತಗ್ಗಿನಿಂದ ಏರಿ ಬರುವ ಮೃಗವು ಇವರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿ ಇವರನ್ನು ಜಯಿಸಿ ಕೊಲ್ಲುವದು.

ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಜನವೇ; ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನಗಳೊಳಗಿಂದ ತನಗೆ ಸ್ವಕೀಯ ಜನವಾಗುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿ ದ್ದಾನೆ.

ಅವನು ನನಗೆ--ಎರಡು ಸಾವಿರದ ಮುನ್ನೂರು ದಿನಗಳ ವರೆಗೂ ನಡೆಯುವವು; ಅನಂತರ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಸ್ಥಳವು ಶುದ್ಧೀಕರಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವದು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

ಉತ್ತರದ ಅರಸನು ಮತ್ತೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಮೊದಲನೇ ಸಾರಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಸಮೂಹವನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ಕೆಲವು ವರುಷಗಳಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಸೈನ್ಯದ ಸಂಗಡವೂ ಬಹಳ ಸಂಪತ್ತಿನ ಸಂಗಡವೂ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಬರುವನು.

ಅವರು ನದಿಯ ನೀರಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಂತು ನಾರು ಬಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿದ್ದ ಒಬ್ಬನಿಗೆ ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಈ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯದ ಅಂತ್ಯವು ಎಷ್ಟರ ವರೆಗೆ ಇರುವದು ಎಂದು ಅಂದಾಗ

ಪ್ರತಿದಿನದ ಯಜ್ಞವು ಸಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಹಾಳುಮಾಡುವಂಥ ಅಸಹ್ಯವು ಇರಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವ ವರೆಗೂ ಸಾವಿರದ ಇನ್ನೂರ ತೊಂಭತ್ತೊಂಭತ್ತು ದಿನಗಳು ಇರುವವು.
ಲೂಕನು 21:14
ಹೀಗಿರುವದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ಏನು ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಮುಂದಾಗಿ ಯೋಚಿಸಬಾರದೆಂದು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಶ್ಚಯಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ.
