Acts 5:17-41 in Kannada

17 Then the high priest rose up, and all they that were with him, (which is the sect of the Sadducees,) and were filled with indignation,

18 And laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common prison.

19 But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth, and said,

20 Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.

21 And when they heard that, they entered into the temple early in the morning, and taught. But the high priest came, and they that were with him, and called the council together, and all the senate of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought.

22 But when the officers came, and found them not in the prison, they returned, and told,

23 Saying, The prison truly found we shut with all safety, and the keepers standing without before the doors: but when we had opened, we found no man within.

24 Now when the high priest and the captain of the temple and the chief priests heard these things, they doubted of them whereunto this would grow.

25 Then came one and told them, saying, Behold, the men whom ye put in prison are standing in the temple, and teaching the people.

26 Then went the captain with the officers, and brought them without violence: for they feared the people, lest they should have been stoned.

27 And when they had brought them, they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them,

28 Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.

29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.

31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.

33 When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them.

34 Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space;

35 And said unto them, Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what ye intend to do as touching these men.

36 For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to nought.

37 After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and drew away much people after him: he also perished; and all, even as many as obeyed him, were dispersed.

38 And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:

39 But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.

40 And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.

41 And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.

17 ಆಗ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನೂ ಅವನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಇದ್ದ ವರೂ (ಇವರು ಸದ್ದುಕಾಯರ ಪಂಗಡಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿದವರು) ಕೋಪದಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿದವರಾಗಿ ಎದ್ದು

18 ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲ ರನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಸೆರೆಯಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟರು.

19 ಆದರೆ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನ ದೂತನು ಸೆರೆ ಮನೆಯ ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆರೆದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೊರಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದು--

20 ನೀವು ಹೋಗಿ ದೇವಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತು ಕೊಂಡು ಈ ಜೀವ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.

21 ಅವರು ಅದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದವರಾಗಿ ಬೆಳಗಿನ ಜಾವದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ದೇವಾಲಯದೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿ ಬೋಧಿಸಿದರು. ಇತ್ತ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನೂ ಅವನ ಕೂಡ ಇದ್ದವರೂ ಬಂದು ಆಲೋಚನಾ ಸಭೆಯನ್ನೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಶಾಸನ ಸಭೆಯನ್ನೂ ಕೂಡಿಸಿ ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರನ್ನು ಕರತರುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸೆರೆ ಮನೆಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದರು
And when they heard that, they entered into the temple early in the morning, and taught. But the high priest came, and they that were with him, and called the council together, and all the senate of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought.

22 ಆದರೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಬಂದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸೆರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣದೆ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಹೋಗಿ--
But when the officers came, and found them not in the prison, they returned, and told,

23 ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ಸೆರೆಮನೆಯು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಭದ್ರತೆಯಿಂದ ಮುಚ್ಚಲ್ಪಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನೂ ಕಾವಲುಗಾರರು ಬಾಗಲುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿರುವದನ್ನೂ ನಾವು ಕಂಡೆವು; ಆದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ತೆರೆದಾಗ ನಾವು ಯಾರನ್ನೂ ಒಳಗೆ ಕಾಣಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
Saying, The prison truly found we shut with all safety, and the keepers standing without before the doors: but when we had opened, we found no man within.

24 ಆಗ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನೂ ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯೂ ಪ್ರಧಾನಯಾಜಕರೂ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಇದರಿಂದ ಏನು ಪರಿಣಾಮವಾದೀತು ಎಂದು ಅವರ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂದೇಹಪಟ್ಟರು.
Now when the high priest and the captain of the temple and the chief priests heard these things, they doubted of them whereunto this would grow.

25 ಆಗ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಬಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಇಗೋ, ನೀವು ಸೆರೆಯ ಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ದೇವಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ದನು.
Then came one and told them, saying, Behold, the men whom ye put in prison are standing in the temple, and teaching the people.

26 ಆಗ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರವೇನೂ ಮಾಡದೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕರತಂದನು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಜನರು ತಮಗೆ ಕಲ್ಲೆಸೆದಾರು ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಭಯಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರು.
Then went the captain with the officers, and brought them without violence: for they feared the people, lest they should have been stoned.

27 ಅವರು ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲ ರನ್ನು ಕರತಂದು ಆಲೋಚನಾಸಭೆಯ ಎದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು. ಆಗ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನು--
And when they had brought them, they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them,

28 ಈ ಹೆಸರಿ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೋಧಿಸ ಕೂಡದೆಂದು ನಾವು ನಿಮಗೆ ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲವೇ? ಆದರೂ ಇಗೋ, ನೀವು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬೋಧನೆ ಯಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿಸಿ ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ತರುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಉದ್ದೇಶವುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಲ್ಲಾ ಎಂದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.

29 ಆಗ ಪೇತ್ರನೂ ಉಳಿದ ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರೂ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ--ನಾವು ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಗಿಂತ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ವಿಧೇಯರಾಗತಕ್ಕದ್ದು.
Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

30 ನೀವು ಮರಕ್ಕೆ ತೂಗುಹಾಕಿ ಕೊಂದ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ದೇವರು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿದನು.
The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.

31 ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯ ರಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾನಸಾಂತರ ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿ ಪಾಪಗಳ ಪರಿಹಾರವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಆತನು ಪ್ರಭುವೂ ರಕ್ಷಕನೂ ಆಗಿರುವಂತೆ ದೇವರು ತನ್ನ ಬಲಗೈಯಿಂದ ಆತನನ್ನು ಉನ್ನತಕ್ಕೆ ಏರಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

32 ದೇವರು ತನಗೆ ವಿಧೇಯರಾಗುವವರಿಗೆ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿದ ಪವಿತ್ರಾ ತ್ಮನೂ ನಾವೂ ಇವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಆತನ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.

33 ಅದನ್ನು ಅವರು ಕೇಳಿ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ತಿವಿಯ ಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರಾಗಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲಬೇಕೆಂದು ಆಲೋಚಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡರು.
When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them.

34 ಆಗ ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಂಡಿತ ನಾಗಿದ್ದು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾನ ಹೊಂದಿದ ಗಮಲಿ ಯೇಲನೆಂಬ ಒಬ್ಬ ಫರಿಸಾಯನು ಆಲೋಚನಾ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಹೊತ್ತು ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಅವ ರಿಗೆ--

35 ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಜನರೇ, ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ ನೀವು ಏನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದಿದ್ದೀರೋ ಅದರ ವಿಷಯ ವಾಗಿ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆಯುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿರ್ರಿ.
And said unto them, Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what ye intend to do as touching these men.

36 ಇದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮುಂಚೆ ಥೈದನು ಎದ್ದು ತಾನೊಬ್ಬ ಗಣ್ಯವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಎಂದು ತನ್ನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ತಾನೇ ಕೊಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡಾಗ ಸುಮಾರು ನಾನೂರು ಜನರು ಅವನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡರು; ಅವನು ಕೊಲ್ಲಲ್ಪಟ್ಟದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನಿಗೆ ವಿಧೇಯರಾಗಿ ದ್ದವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಚದರಿಹೋಗಿ ಇಲ್ಲವಾದರು.

37 ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ತರುವಾಯ ಖಾನೇಷುಮಾರಿಯ ದಿನ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗಲಿಲಾಯದ ಯೂದನು ಎದ್ದು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸುವಂತೆ ಅನೇಕ ಜನರನ್ನು ಸೆಳೆದನು. ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಸಹ ನಾಶವಾದನು. ಅವನಿಗೆ ವಿಧೇಯರಾದ ವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಚದರಿಹೋದರು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and drew away much people after him: he also perished; and all, even as many as obeyed him, were dispersed.

38 ಈಗ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುವದೇನಂದರೆ--ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಗೊಡವೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಡಿರಿ, ಅವರನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿರಿ; ಈ ಯೋಚನೆಯು ಅಥವಾ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯವು ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಂದಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಅದು ನಿಷ್ಫಲವಾಗುವದು.
And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:

39 ಅದು ದೇವರಿಂದಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ನೀವು ಅದನ್ನು ಗೆಲ್ಲಲಾರಿರಿ; ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ನೀವು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ವಾಗಿ ಹೋರಾಡುವವರಾಗಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡೀರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.

40 ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರು ಅವನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡು ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರನ್ನು ಕರೆಯಿಸಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಬಾರದೆಂದು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟರು.
And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.

41 ಆತನ ಹೆಸರಿಗಾಗಿ ಅವಮಾನಪಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ತಾವು ಯೋಗ್ಯರೆಂದು ಎಣಿಸ ಲ್ಪಟ್ಟದ್ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅವರು ಸಂತೋಷಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಆಲೋಚನಾ ಸಭೆಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಟುಹೋದರು.
And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.
