Acts 15
1 ಬಳಿಕ ಕೆಲವರು ಯೂದಾಯದಿಂದ ಬಂದು--ಮೋಶೆಯ ನೇಮದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನೀವು ಸುನ್ನತಿ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದಿದ್ದರೆ ನಿಮಗೆ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯಾಗಲಾರದು ಎಂಬದಾಗಿ ಸಹೋದರರಿಗೆ ಉಪದೇಶ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
2 ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅವರ ಮತ್ತು ಪೌಲ ಬಾರ್ನಬರ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಭಿನ್ನಾಭಿ ಪ್ರಾಯವೂ ವಾಗ್ವಾದವೂ ಉಂಟಾದಾಗ ಪೌಲ ಬಾರ್ನಬರೂ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇರೆ ಕೆಲವರೂ ಈ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಾಗಿ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರ ಮತ್ತು ಹಿರಿಯರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅವರು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದರು.
3 ಸಭೆಯವರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಾಗಕಳು ಹಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವರು ಫೊಯಿನಿಕೆ ಸಮಾರ್ಯಗಳ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಹಾದು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಅನ್ಯಜನರು (ಕರ್ತನ ಕಡೆಗೆ) ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ವಿವರ ವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಸಹೋದರರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಸಂತೋಷಪಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಯಿತು.
4 ಅವರು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದಮೇಲೆ ಸಭೆಯವರೂ ಅಪೊಸ್ತ ಲರೂ ಹಿರಿಯರೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಾಗ ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗಿದ್ದು ಮಾಡಿದ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವರಿಗೆ ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು.
5 ಆದರೆ ಫರಿಸಾಯರ ಪಂಗಡದವರಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿದ್ದ ಕೆಲವರು ಎದ್ದು--ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸುನ್ನತಿ ಮಾಡಿಸುವದು ಅವಶ್ಯವೆಂತಲೂ ಮೋಶೆಯ ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣವನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡು ನಡೆಯಬೇಕೆಂತಲೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ದರು.
6 ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರೂ ಹಿರಿಯರೂ ಈ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಆಲೋಚಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೂಡಿ ಬಂದಿರುವಾಗ
7 ಬಹು ವಿವಾದವು ನಡೆದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪೇತ್ರನು ಎದ್ದು ಅವ ರಿಗೆ--ಜನರೇ, ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ಅನ್ಯಜನರು ನನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ನಂಬ ಬೇಕೆಂದು ದೇವರು ಬಹಳ ದಿವಸಗಳ ಕೆಳಗೆ ನಮ್ಮೊಳ ಗಿಂದ ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದು ನಿಮಗೇ ತಿಳಿದದೆ.
8 ಹೃದಯ ಗಳನ್ನು ಬಲ್ಲವನಾಗಿರುವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಗೆ ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮ ನನ್ನು ನಮಗೆ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿದನೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅವರಿಗೂ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿ ಅವರ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
9 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಆತನು ನಮಗೂ ಅವರಿಗೂ ಏನೂ ಭೇದ ಮಾಡದೆ ಅವರ ಹೃದಯ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ಮೂಲಕವಾಗಿ ಶುದ್ಧೀಕರಿಸಿದನು.
10 ಹೀಗಿರುವದರಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳಾಗಲಿ ನಾವಾಗಲಿ ಹೋರಲಾರದ ನೊಗವನ್ನು ನೀವು ಶಿಷ್ಯರ ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಕಿ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವದು ಯಾಕೆ?
11 ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಕೃಪೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ನಾವು ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಹೊಂದುವೆವೆಂಬದಾಗಿ ನಂಬುತ್ತೇವಲ್ಲಾ; ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅವರೂ ಹೊಂದುವರು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ದನು.
12 ಸಮೂಹದವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಮೌನವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಬಾರ್ನ ಬನೂ ಪೌಲನೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಮೂಲಕವಾಗಿ ದೇವರು ಅನ್ಯಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸೂಚಕಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅದ್ಭುತಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ವಿವರಿಸುವದನ್ನು ಕಿವಿಗೊಟ್ಟು ಕೇಳಿದರು.
13 ಅವರು ಮೌನವಾಗಿದ್ದಾಗ ಯಾಕೋ ಬನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಜನರೇ, ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ನಾನು ಹೇಳುವದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿರಿ;
14 ದೇವರು ಮೊದಲೇ ಅನ್ಯಜನರನ್ನು ದರ್ಶಿಸಿ ತನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿಗಾಗಿ ಅವರೊ ಳಗಿಂದ ಒಂದು ಪ್ರಜೆಯನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ವಿಧವನ್ನು ಸಿಮೆಯೋನನು ವಿವರಿಸಿದನಷ್ಟೆ.
15 ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ಗಳ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಒಪ್ಪುತ್ತವೆ, ಹೇಗಂದರೆ--
16 ಇದಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾನು ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಬಂದು ಬಿದ್ದು ಹೋಗಿರುವ ದಾವೀದನ ಗುಡಾರವನ್ನು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಕಟ್ಟುವೆನು. ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಳಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ನಾನು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಸರಿಮಾಡಿಸಿ ಅದನ್ನು ನೆಟ್ಟಗೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸುವೆನು.
17 ಅವೆಲ್ಲವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವ ಕರ್ತನು--ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿನಿಂದ ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅನ್ಯಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವವರಾಗಿರಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
18 ದೇವರು ತನ್ನ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಲೋಕಾದಿಯಿಂದ ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
19 ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ಅನ್ಯಜನರಿಂದ ದೇವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡವರನ್ನು ನಾವು ತೊಂದರೆಪಡಿ ಸಬಾರದೆಂಬದು ನನ್ನ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯವಾಗಿದೆ.
20 ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳ ಮಲಿನತೆಯನ್ನೂ ಜಾರತ್ವವನ್ನೂ ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಹಿಸುಕಿ ಕೊಂದವುಗಳನ್ನೂ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನೂ ವಿಸ ರ್ಜಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಾವು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬರೆಯುವೆವು.
21 ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಪುರಾತನ ಕಾಲದಿಂದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೋಶೆಯ ಗ್ರಂಥವನ್ನು ಬೋಧಿಸುವ ವರು ಇದ್ದಾರೆ; ಅದು ಪ್ರತಿ ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನವೂ ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾರಾಯಣವಾಗುತ್ತದಲ್ಲಾ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
1 And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.
2 When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.
3 And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto all the brethren.
4 And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and of the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them.
5 But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.
6 And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.
7 And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;
9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
10 Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.
12 Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.
13 And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me:
14 Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.
15 And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,
16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:
17 That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.
18 Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.
19 Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:
20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
21 For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.

And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and of the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them.
5 ಆದರೆ ಫರಿಸಾಯರ ಪಂಗಡದವರಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿದ್ದ ಕೆಲವರು ಎದ್ದು--ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸುನ್ನತಿ ಮಾಡಿಸುವದು ಅವಶ್ಯವೆಂತಲೂ ಮೋಶೆಯ ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣವನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡು ನಡೆಯಬೇಕೆಂತಲೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ದರು.
But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.
6 ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರೂ ಹಿರಿಯರೂ ಈ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಆಲೋಚಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೂಡಿ ಬಂದಿರುವಾಗ
And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.
7 ಬಹು ವಿವಾದವು ನಡೆದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪೇತ್ರನು ಎದ್ದು ಅವ ರಿಗೆ--ಜನರೇ, ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ಅನ್ಯಜನರು ನನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ನಂಬ ಬೇಕೆಂದು ದೇವರು ಬಹಳ ದಿವಸಗಳ ಕೆಳಗೆ ನಮ್ಮೊಳ ಗಿಂದ ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದು ನಿಮಗೇ ತಿಳಿದದೆ.
And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
8 ಹೃದಯ ಗಳನ್ನು ಬಲ್ಲವನಾಗಿರುವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಗೆ ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮ ನನ್ನು ನಮಗೆ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿದನೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅವರಿಗೂ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿ ಅವರ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;
9 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಆತನು ನಮಗೂ ಅವರಿಗೂ ಏನೂ ಭೇದ ಮಾಡದೆ ಅವರ ಹೃದಯ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ಮೂಲಕವಾಗಿ ಶುದ್ಧೀಕರಿಸಿದನು.
And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
10 ಹೀಗಿರುವದರಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳಾಗಲಿ ನಾವಾಗಲಿ ಹೋರಲಾರದ ನೊಗವನ್ನು ನೀವು ಶಿಷ್ಯರ ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಕಿ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವದು ಯಾಕೆ?
Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
11 ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಕೃಪೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ನಾವು ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಹೊಂದುವೆವೆಂಬದಾಗಿ ನಂಬುತ್ತೇವಲ್ಲಾ; ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅವರೂ ಹೊಂದುವರು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ದನು.
But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.

Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.
13 ಅವರು ಮೌನವಾಗಿದ್ದಾಗ ಯಾಕೋ ಬನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಜನರೇ, ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ನಾನು ಹೇಳುವದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿರಿ;
And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me:
14 ದೇವರು ಮೊದಲೇ ಅನ್ಯಜನರನ್ನು ದರ್ಶಿಸಿ ತನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿಗಾಗಿ ಅವರೊ ಳಗಿಂದ ಒಂದು ಪ್ರಜೆಯನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ವಿಧವನ್ನು ಸಿಮೆಯೋನನು ವಿವರಿಸಿದನಷ್ಟೆ.
Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.
15 ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ಗಳ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಒಪ್ಪುತ್ತವೆ, ಹೇಗಂದರೆ--
And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,
16 ಇದಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾನು ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಬಂದು ಬಿದ್ದು ಹೋಗಿರುವ ದಾವೀದನ ಗುಡಾರವನ್ನು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಕಟ್ಟುವೆನು. ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಳಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ನಾನು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಸರಿಮಾಡಿಸಿ ಅದನ್ನು ನೆಟ್ಟಗೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸುವೆನು.
After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:
17 ಅವೆಲ್ಲವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವ ಕರ್ತನು--ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿನಿಂದ ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅನ್ಯಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವವರಾಗಿರಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.
18 ದೇವರು ತನ್ನ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಲೋಕಾದಿಯಿಂದ ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.
19 ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ಅನ್ಯಜನರಿಂದ ದೇವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡವರನ್ನು ನಾವು ತೊಂದರೆಪಡಿ ಸಬಾರದೆಂಬದು ನನ್ನ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯವಾಗಿದೆ.
Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:
20 ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳ ಮಲಿನತೆಯನ್ನೂ ಜಾರತ್ವವನ್ನೂ ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಹಿಸುಕಿ ಕೊಂದವುಗಳನ್ನೂ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನೂ ವಿಸ ರ್ಜಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಾವು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬರೆಯುವೆವು.
But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
21 ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಪುರಾತನ ಕಾಲದಿಂದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೋಶೆಯ ಗ್ರಂಥವನ್ನು ಬೋಧಿಸುವ ವರು ಇದ್ದಾರೆ; ಅದು ಪ್ರತಿ ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನವೂ ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾರಾಯಣವಾಗುತ್ತದಲ್ಲಾ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.
