Proverbs 10:13
ವಿವೇಕವುಳ್ಳ ತುಟಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಸಿಕ್ಕು ತ್ತದೆ; ವಿವೇಕವಿಲ್ಲದವನ ಬೆನ್ನಿಗೆ ಬೆತ್ತವೇ ಸರಿ.

ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನನನ್ನು ಒರಳಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಗೋಧಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಒನಕೆಯಿಂದ ಕುಟ್ಟಿ ದರೂ ಅವನಿಂದ ಮೂರ್ಖತನವು ತೊಲಗುವದಿಲ್ಲ.

ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ--ಮಿಡತೆಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದ ಮೇಲೆ ಚಾಚು. ಅವು ಐಗುಪ್ತದ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಂದು ಆ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಹಸುರಾದದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅಂದರೆ ಆನೆಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಮಳೆಯು ಉಳಿಸಿದ್ದದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ತಿಂದು ಬಿಡಲಿ ಅಂದನು.
