1 ಮೊಸಳೆಯನ್ನು ಗಾಳದಿಂದ ಎಳೆಯುವಿಯೋ? ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಹಗ್ಗದಿಂದ ಅದರ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಅದುಮುತ್ತೀಯೋ?

2 ಅದರ ಮೂಗಿ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಗಾಳಿ ಇಡುವಿಯೋ? ಅದರ ದವಡೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಳ್ಳಿನಿಂದ ಚುಚ್ಚುವಿಯೋ?

3 ಅದು ನಿನಗೆ ಬಹಳ ಬಿನ್ನಹಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವದೋ? ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮೃದು ವಾದ ಮಾತು ಆಡುವದೋ?

4 ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡುವದೋ? ಅದನ್ನು ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ದಾಸನಾಗಿ ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿಯೋ?

5 ಪಕ್ಷಿಯ ಹಾಗೆ ಅದರ ಸಂಗಡ ಆಡುವಿಯೋ ? ನಿನ್ನ ಹುಡುಗಿಯರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಅದನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಹಾಕುವಿಯೋ?

6 ಜತೆಯವರು ಅದನ್ನು ಔತಣ ಮಾಡುವರೋ? ಅವರು ಅದನ್ನು ವರ್ತಕ ರಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲಿಡುವರೋ?

7 ಅದರ ತೊಗಲನ್ನು ಮುಳ್ಳು ಗಳಿಂದ, ಅದರ ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ವಿಾನುಗಾರರ ಬಲೆ ಯಿಂದ ತುಂಬುವಿಯೋ?

8 ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಹಾಕು; ಯುದ್ಧವನ್ನು ನೆನಸಿಕೋ, ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನದೇನೂ ಮಾಡಬೇಡ.

9 ಇಗೋ, ಅದರ ವಿಷಯವಾದ ನಿರೀ ಕ್ಷೆಯು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾದದ್ದು. ಅದನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತಲೇ ಕೆಡವಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತಾನಲ್ಲಾ.

10 ಅದನ್ನು ಕದಲಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಕಠಿಣನು ಇಲ್ಲ. ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಂತು ಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಯಾರು ಶಕ್ತರು?

11 ನಾನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಕೊಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಮೊದಲು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟವನಾರು? ಆಕಾಶದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಇರುವಂಥದೆಲ್ಲಾ ನನ್ನದೇ.

12 ನಾನು ಅದರ ಭಾಗಗಳನ್ನೂ ತ್ರಾಣವನ್ನೂ ಸನ್ನಾಹದ ಸೊಬಗನ್ನೂ ಮುಚ್ಚುವದಿಲ್ಲ.

13 ಅದರ ಮೇಲಿನ ವಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನು ತೆರೆಯುವವನಾರು? ಅದರ ಎರಡರಷ್ಟು ಕಡಿವಾಣದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅದರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರು ವದಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾರು ಶಕ್ತರು?

14 ಅದರ ಮುಖದ ಕದ ಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆಯುವವನಾರು? ಅದರ ಹಲ್ಲುಗಳು ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಭಯಂಕರವಾಗಿವೆ.

15 ಬಲವಾದ ಅದರ ಗುರಾಣಿಗಳು ಅದರ ಗರ್ವವಾಗಿವೆ; ಬತ್ತಿದ ಮುದ್ರೆಯ ಹಾಗೆ ಬಿಗಿದವೆ.

16 ಅವು ಒಂದಕ್ಕೊಂದು ಹೊಂದಿ ಕೊಂಡಿವೆ; ಗಾಳಿಯಾದರೂ ಅವುಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರುವದಿಲ್ಲ.

17 ಒಂದಕ್ಕೊಂದು ಅಂಟುತ್ತವೆ; ಹಿಡು ಕೊಂಡು ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕವಾಗುವದಿಲ್ಲ;

18 ಅದರ ಸೀನು ವಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಬೆಳಕು ಹುಟ್ಟುವದು; ಅದರ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಉದಯದ ರೆಪ್ಪೆಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಇವೆ.

19 ಅದರ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಉರಿಯುವ ದೀಪಗಳು ಹೊರಡುತ್ತವೆ; ಬೆಂಕಿಯ ಕಿಡಿಗಳು ಹಾರುತ್ತವೆ.

20 ಕುದಿಯುವ ಗಡಿಗೆಯೊಳ ಗಿಂದಲೂ ಕೊಪ್ಪರಿಗೆಯೊಳಗಿಂದಲೂ ಆದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅದರ ಮೂಗಿನೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊಗೆ ಹಾಯುವದು.

21 ಅದರ ಶ್ವಾಸವು ಕೆಂಡಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತಿಸುವದು; ಜ್ವಾಲೆಯು ಅದರ ಬಾಯಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಡು ವದು.

22 ಅದರ ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಲವು ವಾಸಿಸುವದು; ಅದರ ಮುಂದೆ ದುಃಖವು ಸಂತೋಷಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾರ್ಪ ಡುವದು.

23 ಅದರ ಮಾಂಸದ ಖಂಡಗಳು ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡಿವೆ; ಅವು ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಕದಲಲಾರವು.

24 ಅದರ ಹೃದಯವು ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಹೌದು, ಬೀಸುವ ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಅಡಿಯ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಕಠಿಣವಾಗಿದೆ.

25 ಅದು ಏಳುವಾಗ ಹೆದರುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಮುರಿಯುವ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಶುದ್ಧಿಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳು ತ್ತಾರೆ.

26 ಅದರ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಅದರ ಖಡ್ಗವು ಹಿಡಿಯಲಾರದು; ಈಟಿಯೂ ಬಾಣವೂ ಕವಚವೂ ನಿಲ್ಲವು,

27 ಕಬ್ಬಿಣವು ಹುಲ್ಲೆಂದೂ ಹಿತ್ತಾಳೆಯು ಕೊಳೆತ ಕಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಎಂದೂ ಅದು ಎಣಿಸುವದು.

28 ಬಿಲ್ಲು ಅದನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸಲಾರದು, ಕವಣೆಯ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳು ಹುಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಾಗೆ ಆಗುತ್ತವೆ.

29 ಬಾಣಗಳು ಹುಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಾಗೆ ಎಣಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿವೆ; ಭರ್ಚಿ ಕದಲಿದರೆ ಅದು ನಗುವದು.

30 ಅದರ ಅಡಿ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹದವಾದ ಹರಳುಗಳು ಅವೆ; ಕೆಸರಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಚೂಪಾದ ಮತ್ತು ಹದವಾದ ಕೋಲನ್ನು ಹರಡಿಸು ತ್ತದೆ.

31 ಆಳವಾದ ನೀರನ್ನು ಗಡಿಗೆಯ ಹಾಗೆ ಕುದಿಯ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ, ಸಮುದ್ರವನ್ನು ತೈಲದ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ.

32 ತನ್ನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹಾದಿ ಬೆಳಗುವಂತೆ ಅದು ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಗಾಧವು ನರೆ ಕೂದಲಿನ ಹಾಗೆ ಇರುವದೆಂದು ಒಬ್ಬನು ಯೋಚಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.

33 ಭೂಮಿ ಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮಾನವಾದದ್ದು ಇಲ್ಲ; ಅದು ಭಯವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಇರುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು.

34 ಉನ್ನತ ವಾದದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅದು ನೋಡುವದು; ಗರ್ವದ ಮಕ್ಕಳೆಲ್ಲರ ಮೇಲೆ ಅದು ಅರಸನಾಗಿದೆ ಅಂದನು.

1 Canst thou draw out leviathan with an hook? or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down?

2 Canst thou put an hook into his nose? or bore his jaw through with a thorn?

3 Will he make many supplications unto thee? will he speak soft words unto thee?

4 Will he make a covenant with thee? wilt thou take him for a servant for ever?

5 Wilt thou play with him as with a bird? or wilt thou bind him for thy maidens?

6 Shall the companions make a banquet of him? shall they part him among the merchants?

7 Canst thou fill his skin with barbed irons? or his head with fish spears?

8 Lay thine hand upon him, remember the battle, do no more.

9 Behold, the hope of him is in vain: shall not one be cast down even at the sight of him?

10 None is so fierce that dare stir him up: who then is able to stand before me?

11 Who hath prevented me, that I should repay him? whatsoever is under the whole heaven is mine.

12 I will not conceal his parts, nor his power, nor his comely proportion.

13 Who can discover the face of his garment? or who can come to him with his double bridle?

14 Who can open the doors of his face? his teeth are terrible round about.

15 His scales are his pride, shut up together as with a close seal.

16 One is so near to another, that no air can come between them.

17 They are joined one to another, they stick together, that they cannot be sundered.

18 By his neesings a light doth shine, and his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning.

19 Out of his mouth go burning lamps, and sparks of fire leap out.

20 Out of his nostrils goeth smoke, as out of a seething pot or caldron.

21 His breath kindleth coals, and a flame goeth out of his mouth.

22 In his neck remaineth strength, and sorrow is turned into joy before him.

23 The flakes of his flesh are joined together: they are firm in themselves; they cannot be moved.

24 His heart is as firm as a stone; yea, as hard as a piece of the nether millstone.

25 When he raiseth up himself, the mighty are afraid: by reason of breakings they purify themselves.

26 The sword of him that layeth at him cannot hold: the spear, the dart, nor the habergeon.

27 He esteemeth iron as straw, and brass as rotten wood.

28 The arrow cannot make him flee: slingstones are turned with him into stubble.

29 Darts are counted as stubble: he laugheth at the shaking of a spear.

30 Sharp stones are under him: he spreadeth sharp pointed things upon the mire.

31 He maketh the deep to boil like a pot: he maketh the sea like a pot of ointment.

32 He maketh a path to shine after him; one would think the deep to be hoary.

33 Upon earth there is not his like, who is made without fear.

34 He beholdeth all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride.

1 ಮೊಸಳೆಯನ್ನು ಗಾಳದಿಂದ ಎಳೆಯುವಿಯೋ? ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಹಗ್ಗದಿಂದ ಅದರ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಅದುಮುತ್ತೀಯೋ?

2 ಅದರ ಮೂಗಿ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಗಾಳಿ ಇಡುವಿಯೋ? ಅದರ ದವಡೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಳ್ಳಿನಿಂದ ಚುಚ್ಚುವಿಯೋ?

3 ಅದು ನಿನಗೆ ಬಹಳ ಬಿನ್ನಹಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವದೋ? ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮೃದು ವಾದ ಮಾತು ಆಡುವದೋ?

4 ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡುವದೋ? ಅದನ್ನು ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ದಾಸನಾಗಿ ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿಯೋ?

5 ಪಕ್ಷಿಯ ಹಾಗೆ ಅದರ ಸಂಗಡ ಆಡುವಿಯೋ ? ನಿನ್ನ ಹುಡುಗಿಯರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಅದನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಹಾಕುವಿಯೋ?

6 ಜತೆಯವರು ಅದನ್ನು ಔತಣ ಮಾಡುವರೋ? ಅವರು ಅದನ್ನು ವರ್ತಕ ರಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲಿಡುವರೋ?

7 ಅದರ ತೊಗಲನ್ನು ಮುಳ್ಳು ಗಳಿಂದ, ಅದರ ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ವಿಾನುಗಾರರ ಬಲೆ ಯಿಂದ ತುಂಬುವಿಯೋ?

8 ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಹಾಕು; ಯುದ್ಧವನ್ನು ನೆನಸಿಕೋ, ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನದೇನೂ ಮಾಡಬೇಡ.

9 ಇಗೋ, ಅದರ ವಿಷಯವಾದ ನಿರೀ ಕ್ಷೆಯು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾದದ್ದು. ಅದನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತಲೇ ಕೆಡವಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತಾನಲ್ಲಾ.

10 ಅದನ್ನು ಕದಲಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಕಠಿಣನು ಇಲ್ಲ. ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಂತು ಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಯಾರು ಶಕ್ತರು?

11 ನಾನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಕೊಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಮೊದಲು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟವನಾರು? ಆಕಾಶದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಇರುವಂಥದೆಲ್ಲಾ ನನ್ನದೇ.

12 ನಾನು ಅದರ ಭಾಗಗಳನ್ನೂ ತ್ರಾಣವನ್ನೂ ಸನ್ನಾಹದ ಸೊಬಗನ್ನೂ ಮುಚ್ಚುವದಿಲ್ಲ.

13 ಅದರ ಮೇಲಿನ ವಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನು ತೆರೆಯುವವನಾರು? ಅದರ ಎರಡರಷ್ಟು ಕಡಿವಾಣದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅದರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರು ವದಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾರು ಶಕ್ತರು?

14 ಅದರ ಮುಖದ ಕದ ಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆಯುವವನಾರು? ಅದರ ಹಲ್ಲುಗಳು ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಭಯಂಕರವಾಗಿವೆ.

15 ಬಲವಾದ ಅದರ ಗುರಾಣಿಗಳು ಅದರ ಗರ್ವವಾಗಿವೆ; ಬತ್ತಿದ ಮುದ್ರೆಯ ಹಾಗೆ ಬಿಗಿದವೆ.

16 ಅವು ಒಂದಕ್ಕೊಂದು ಹೊಂದಿ ಕೊಂಡಿವೆ; ಗಾಳಿಯಾದರೂ ಅವುಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರುವದಿಲ್ಲ.

17 ಒಂದಕ್ಕೊಂದು ಅಂಟುತ್ತವೆ; ಹಿಡು ಕೊಂಡು ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕವಾಗುವದಿಲ್ಲ;

18 ಅದರ ಸೀನು ವಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಬೆಳಕು ಹುಟ್ಟುವದು; ಅದರ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಉದಯದ ರೆಪ್ಪೆಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಇವೆ.

19 ಅದರ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಉರಿಯುವ ದೀಪಗಳು ಹೊರಡುತ್ತವೆ; ಬೆಂಕಿಯ ಕಿಡಿಗಳು ಹಾರುತ್ತವೆ.

20 ಕುದಿಯುವ ಗಡಿಗೆಯೊಳ ಗಿಂದಲೂ ಕೊಪ್ಪರಿಗೆಯೊಳಗಿಂದಲೂ ಆದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅದರ ಮೂಗಿನೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊಗೆ ಹಾಯುವದು.

21 ಅದರ ಶ್ವಾಸವು ಕೆಂಡಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತಿಸುವದು; ಜ್ವಾಲೆಯು ಅದರ ಬಾಯಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಡು ವದು.

22 ಅದರ ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಲವು ವಾಸಿಸುವದು; ಅದರ ಮುಂದೆ ದುಃಖವು ಸಂತೋಷಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾರ್ಪ ಡುವದು.

23 ಅದರ ಮಾಂಸದ ಖಂಡಗಳು ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡಿವೆ; ಅವು ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಕದಲಲಾರವು.

24 ಅದರ ಹೃದಯವು ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಹೌದು, ಬೀಸುವ ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಅಡಿಯ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಕಠಿಣವಾಗಿದೆ.

25 ಅದು ಏಳುವಾಗ ಹೆದರುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಮುರಿಯುವ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಶುದ್ಧಿಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳು ತ್ತಾರೆ.

26 ಅದರ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಅದರ ಖಡ್ಗವು ಹಿಡಿಯಲಾರದು; ಈಟಿಯೂ ಬಾಣವೂ ಕವಚವೂ ನಿಲ್ಲವು,

27 ಕಬ್ಬಿಣವು ಹುಲ್ಲೆಂದೂ ಹಿತ್ತಾಳೆಯು ಕೊಳೆತ ಕಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಎಂದೂ ಅದು ಎಣಿಸುವದು.

28 ಬಿಲ್ಲು ಅದನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸಲಾರದು, ಕವಣೆಯ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳು ಹುಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಾಗೆ ಆಗುತ್ತವೆ.

29 ಬಾಣಗಳು ಹುಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಾಗೆ ಎಣಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿವೆ; ಭರ್ಚಿ ಕದಲಿದರೆ ಅದು ನಗುವದು.

30 ಅದರ ಅಡಿ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹದವಾದ ಹರಳುಗಳು ಅವೆ; ಕೆಸರಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಚೂಪಾದ ಮತ್ತು ಹದವಾದ ಕೋಲನ್ನು ಹರಡಿಸು ತ್ತದೆ.

31 ಆಳವಾದ ನೀರನ್ನು ಗಡಿಗೆಯ ಹಾಗೆ ಕುದಿಯ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ, ಸಮುದ್ರವನ್ನು ತೈಲದ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ.

32 ತನ್ನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹಾದಿ ಬೆಳಗುವಂತೆ ಅದು ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಗಾಧವು ನರೆ ಕೂದಲಿನ ಹಾಗೆ ಇರುವದೆಂದು ಒಬ್ಬನು ಯೋಚಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.

33 ಭೂಮಿ ಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮಾನವಾದದ್ದು ಇಲ್ಲ; ಅದು ಭಯವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಇರುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು.

26 The sword of him that layeth at him cannot hold: the spear, the dart, nor the habergeon.

27 He esteemeth iron as straw, and brass as rotten wood.

28 The arrow cannot make him flee: slingstones are turned with him into stubble.

29 Darts are counted as stubble: he laugheth at the shaking of a spear.

30 Sharp stones are under him: he spreadeth sharp pointed things upon the mire.

31 He maketh the deep to boil like a pot: he maketh the sea like a pot of ointment.

32 He maketh a path to shine after him; one would think the deep to be hoary.

33 Upon earth there is not his like, who is made without fear.

34 He beholdeth all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride.
