ಹೋರೇಬಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾಡಿದ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ಹೊರತಾಗಿ ಇಸ್ರಾ ಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಇವೇ;

ಆಗ ಜನರು--ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ತರುವಾಗ ತಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾಡಿದ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮರೆತುಬಿಟ್ಟು,

ಈ ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣದ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುವ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಶಾಪಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಗೋತ್ರಗಳೊಳಗಿಂದ ಕೇಡಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕಿಸುವನು.

ನಿಮ್ಮ ಚಿಕ್ಕವರೂ ಪತ್ನಿಯರೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಪಾಳೆಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪರವಾಸಿಯರೂ ನಿನಗಾಗಿ ಕಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಕಡಿಯುವವರೂ ನೀರು ಸೇದುವ ವರೂ ಇದ್ದೀರಿ.
Deuteronomy 4:23
ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾಡಿದ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮರೆತು ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಬೇಡವೆಂದು ಕೆತ್ತಿದ ಯಾವ ರೂಪದ ವಿಗ್ರಹ ವನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳದ ಹಾಗೆ ಜಾಗ್ರತೆಯಾಗಿರ್ರಿ.
Deuteronomy 4:13
ಆತನು ಹತ್ತು ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳೆಂಬ ತನ್ನ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಎರಡು ಹಲಗೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರೆದನು.

Exodus 24:2
ಮೋಶೆ ಒಬ್ಬನೇ ಕರ್ತನ ಸವಿಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಲಿ; ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಸವಿಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಬಾರದು. ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಜನರು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಬರಬಾರದು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
