1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus through the will of God, according to the promise of the life which is in Christ Jesus,ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಜೀವ ವಾಗ್ದಾನದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ದೇವರ ಚಿತ್ತದಿಂದ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲನಾದ ಪೌಲನೆಂಬ ನಾನು

2 to Timothy, my beloved child: Grace, mercy, peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.ನನ್ನ ಅತಿ ಪ್ರಿಯಕುಮಾರನಾದ ತಿಮೊಥೆಯನಿಗೆ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ದೇವರಿಂದಲೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನಿಂದಲೂ ಕೃಪೆಯೂ ಕರುಣೆಯೂ ಶಾಂತಿಯೂ ಆಗಲಿ.

3 I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers in a pure conscience, how unceasing is my remembrance of thee in my supplications, night and dayನಾನು ಹಗಲಿರುಳು ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪದೆ ಜ್ಞಾಪಕ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಶುದ್ಧ ಮನಸ್ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕ ರನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸಿ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸು ತ್ತೇನೆ.

4 longing to see thee, remembering thy tears, that I may be filled with joy;ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣೀರನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಗೆ ತಂದು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಸಂತೋಷಭರಿತನಾಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ;

5 having been reminded of the unfeigned faith that is in thee; which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and, I am persuaded, in thee also.ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನಿಷ್ಕಪಟ ವಾದ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯು ನನ್ನ ನೆನಪಿಗೆ ಬಂತು. ಆ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯು ಮೊದಲು ನಿನ್ನ ಅಜ್ಜಿಯಾದ ಲೋವಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯಾದ ಯೂನೀಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ವಾಸವಾಗಿತ್ತು: ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅದು ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ದೃಢವಾಗಿ ನಂಬಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

6 For which cause I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee through the laying on of my hands.ಆದಕಾರಣ ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಹಸ್ತಾರ್ಪಣ ಮಾಡು ವದರ ಮೂಲಕ ನಿನಗೆ ದೊರಕಿದ ದೇವರ ವರವು ಪ್ರಜ್ವಲಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಿನಗೆ ಜ್ಞಾಪಕ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.

7 For God gave us not a spirit of fearfulness; but of power and love and discipline.ದೇವರು ನಮಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಆತ್ಮವು ಬಲ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಬುದ್ಧಿಯ ಆತ್ಮವೇ ಹೊರತು ಭಯದ ಆತ್ಮವಲ್ಲ.

8 Be not ashamed therefore of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but suffer hardship with the gospel according to the power of God;ಹೀಗಿರುವದರಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತನ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಆತನ ಸೆರೆಯವನಾದ ನನ್ನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನೀನು ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಡದೆ ದೇವರ ಬಲಕ್ಕನು ಸಾರವಾಗಿ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಉಂಟಾಗುವ ಶ್ರಮೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲುಗಾರನಾಗಿರು.

9 who saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before times eternal,ಆತನು ನಮ್ಮ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳಿಗನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲ, ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪ ಮತ್ತು ಕೃಪೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧವಾದ ಕರೆಯಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕರೆದನು. ಆತನು ಜಗದುತ್ಪತ್ತಿಗೆ ಮುಂಚೆಯೇ ಆ ಕೃಪೆಯನ್ನು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಮಗೆ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದನು.

10 but hath now been manifested by the appearing of our Saviour Christ Jesus, who abolished death, and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel,ಈಗ ನಮ್ಮ ರಕ್ಷಕನಾದ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಅದನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಾಶ ಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಈತನು ಮರಣವನ್ನು ನಿವೃತ್ತಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಜೀವವನ್ನೂ ನಿರ್ಲಯತ್ವ ವನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಗೊಳಿಸಿದನು.

11 whereunto I was appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher.ಅದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ನಾನು ಸಾರುವವನಾಗಿಯೂ ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲನಾಗಿಯೂ ಅನ್ಯಜನ ರಿಗೆ ಉಪದೇಶಕನಾಗಿಯೂ ನೇಮಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟೆನು.

12 For which cause I suffer also these things: yet I am not ashamed; for I know him whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that he is able to guard that which I have committed unto him against that day.ಇದರ ನಿಮಿತ್ತದಿಂದಲೇ ಈ ಶ್ರಮೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದೇನೆ; ಆದರೂ ನಾನು ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಯಾಕಂ ದರೆ ನಾನು ನಂಬಿರುವಾತನನ್ನು ಬಲ್ಲೆನು, ನಾನು ಆತನಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಆತನು ಆ ದಿನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕಾಪಾಡು ವದಕ್ಕೆ ಶಕ್ತನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದೂ ದೃಢವಾಗಿ ನಂಬಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

13 Hold the pattern of sound words which thou hast heard from me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.ನೀನು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯೂ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯೂ ಉಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿ ನನ್ನಿಂದ ಕೇಳಿದ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳ ಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಬಿಗಿಯಾಗಿ ಹಿಡಿದುಕೋ.

14 That good thing which was committed unto `thee' guard through the Holy Spirit which dwelleth in us.ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವ ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮನ ಮೂಲಕ ನಿನಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಆ ಒಳ್ಳೇದನ್ನು ನೀನು ಕಾಪಾಡು.

15 This thou knowest, that all that are in Asia turned away from me; of whom are Phygelus and Hermogenes.ಆಸ್ಯ ಸೀಮೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋದರೆಂಬದನ್ನು ನೀನು ಬಲ್ಲೆ; ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಫುಗೇಲನೂ ಹೆರ್ಮೊಗೇನನೂ ಸೇರಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

16 The Lord grant mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus: for he oft refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain;ಒನೇಸಿಫೊರನ ಮನೆಯವರಿಗೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಕರುಣೆಯನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಲಿ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವನು ಅನೇಕಾ ವರ್ತಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಉತ್ತೇಜನ ಪಡಿಸಿದನು. ನನ್ನ ಬೇಡಿಗಳಿಗೆ ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.

17 but, when he was in Rome, he sought me diligently, and found meಆದರೆ ಅವನು ರೋಮ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ದ್ದಾಗ ಬಹಳ ಶ್ರದ್ಧೆಯಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿ ಕಂಡು ಕೊಂಡನು.

18 (the Lord grant unto him to find mercy of the Lord in that day); and in how many things he ministered at Ephesus, thou knowest very well.ಅವನು ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಕರುಣೆ ಯನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ದಯ ಪಾಲಿಸಲಿ. ಎಫೆಸದಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಉಪಚಾರ ಮಾಡಿದನೆಂಬದು ನಿನಗೆ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಗೊತ್ತಿದೆ.
