ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನು ಯೋವಾಬನಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಅಮಾಸನನ್ನು ಸೈನ್ಯದ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸಿದನು. ನಾಹಾಷನಿಗೆ ಮಗಳಾದ ಅಬೀಗೈಲಳ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯನಾದ ಇತ್ರನೆಂಬ ಹೆಸರುಳ್ಳ ಈ ಅಮಾಸನು ಒಬ್ಬ ಮಗನಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಅಬೀಗೈಲಳು ಯೋವಾಬನ ತಾಯಿಯಾದ ಚೆರೂಯಳಿಗೆ ಸಹೋದರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಳು.
