2 Samuel 15:24
ಇಗೋ, ಚಾದೋಕನೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಲೇವಿಯರೂ ದೇವರ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ಮಂಜೂ ಷವನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು ಇಳಿಸಿದರು. ಆದರೆ ಎಬ್ಯಾತಾರನು ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರು ಪಟ್ಟಣದಿಂದ ದಾಟಿ ಹೋಗುವ ವರೆಗೆ ಮುಂದೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.

ಜನರು ಪಾಳೆಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಹಿರಿಯರು--ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ಕರ್ತನು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಮುಂದೆ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆಸಿ ದ್ದೇನು? ಕರ್ತನ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ಮಂಜೂಷವು ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನಾವು ಅದನ್ನು ಶೀಲೋವಿನಿಂದ ತರಿಸೋಣ ಅಂದರು.

ಆದರೆ ಕೆಹಾತ್ಯರ ಕುಮಾರರಿಗೆ ಯಾವದನ್ನೂ ಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಹೆಗಲುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವದೇ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟ ಸೇವೆಯಾಗಿತ್ತು.
