ದಾವೀದನು ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾದ ಬತ್ಷೆಬೆಯನ್ನು ಆದರಿಸಿ ಅವಳ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಲಗಿದನು.ಅವಳು ಒಬ್ಬ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತಳು. ಅವನಿಗೆ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನೆಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟನು. ಕರ್ತನು ಅವ ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಮಾಡಿದನು.
