2 Kings 5:8
ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಅರಸನು ತನ್ನ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಹರಿದು ಕೊಂಡನೆಂದು ದೇವರ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಾದ ಎಲೀಷನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ--ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಹರಿದುಕೊಂಡ ದ್ದೇನು? ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ಇದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ಅವನು ತಿಳುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವನು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರಲಿ ಎಂದು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.

ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಅರಸನು ಆ ಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ಓದಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ತನ್ನ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಹರಿದುಕೊಂಡು--ಕೊಲ್ಲು ವದಕ್ಕೂ ಬದುಕಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೂ ನಾನು ದೇವರೋ? ಇವನ ಕುಷ್ಠರೋಗವನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ವಾಸಿಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದೇನು? ಇವನು ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧ ವಾಗಿ ಜಗಳಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣ ಹುಡುಕುವದನ್ನು ನೀವು ನೋಡಿ ತಿಳುಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ ಅಂದನು.

ಅವಳು ತನ್ನ ಯಜಮಾನಿಗೆ--ನನ್ನ ದಣಿಯು ಸಮಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವನು ಇವನ ಕುಷ್ಠರೋಗವನ್ನು ವಾಸಿಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು ಅಂದಳು.

ಅವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನು ಷ್ಯನು ಎದುರಾಗಿ ಬಂದು ನಮಗೆ--ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ ಅರಸನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿ ಹೋಗಿ-- ಇಸ್ರಾ ಯೇಲ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರು ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಇರುವದರಿಂದಲೋ ನೀನು ಎಕ್ರೋನಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಬಾಳ್ಜೆಬೂಬನನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸುವದೇನು? ಇದರ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ನೀನು ಏರಿದ ಮಂಚದಿಂದ ಇಳಿಯದೆ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಸಾಯುವಿ ಎಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆಂಬದಾಗಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿರಿ ಅಂದನು.
