2 Chronicles 35:22
ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಯೋಷೀ ಯನು ತನ್ನ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ಅವನ ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ತಿರುಗಿಸದೆ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಲು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಮರೆ ಮಾಜಿದನು. ಅವನು ದೇವರ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಬಂದ ನೆಕೋನನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳದೆ ಮೆಗಿದ್ದೋನು ತಗ್ಗಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡ ಬಂದನು.

ಯೋಷೀಯನು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದನು. ಆದರೆ ಇವನು ಯೋಷೀಯನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸೇವಕರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ--ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನೇ, ನನಗೆ ನಿನಗೆ ಏನು? ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಲ್ಲ, ನಾನು ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡುವ ಮನೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರುತ್ತೇನೆ; ತ್ವರೆಮಾಡು ಎಂದು ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವ ದೇವರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನಾಶ ಮಾಡದ ಹಾಗೆ ನೀನು ಆತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಸುಮ್ಮನಿರು.
