ಸಮುವೇಲನು--ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೋಸ್ಕರವಾಗಿ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮಿಚ್ಪೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ ಅಂದನು. ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರು ಮಿಚ್ಪೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಟ್ಟುಕೂಡಿ ಬಂದು ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆ ನೀರು ತಂದು ಹೊಯ್ದು ಆ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪವಾಸಮಾಡಿ--
