ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಸತ್ತು ಹೋಗಿದ್ದನು; ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇ ಲ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅವನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಗೋಳಾಡಿ ಅವನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಪಟ್ಟಣವಾದ ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಹೂಣಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಸೌಲನು ಯಕ್ಷಿಣಿಗಾರರನ್ನೂ ಮಂತ್ರವಾದಿ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೊರಡಿಸಿದ್ದನು.
