ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಮಾಡಿ ಬೇತ್ಲೆಹೇಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದನು. ಆಗ ಊರಿನ ಹಿರಿಯರು ಅವನ ಬರುವಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ನಡುಗಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಸಮಾಧಾನವೋ ಅಂದರು.
