ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಏನಾಯಿತಂದರೆ, ಸೌಲನಮಗನಾದ ಯೋನಾತಾನನು ತನ್ನ ಆಯು ಧಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವವನಾದ ಯೌವನಸ್ಥನಿಗೆ--ನಾವು ನಮಗೆದುರಾಗಿ ಆಚೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಠಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗೋಣ ಬಾ ಅಂದನು; ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
