1 Samuel 11:13
ಆಗ ಸೌಲನು--ಕರ್ತನು ಈ ದಿವಸ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯನ್ನುಂಟುಮಾಡಿ ದ್ದರಿಂದ ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ಯಾವನೂ ಕೊಲ್ಲಲ್ಪಡಬಾರದು ಅಂದನು.

2 Samuel 19:22
ಆದರೆ ದಾವೀದನು--ಚೆರೂಯಳ ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ, ಈಹೊತ್ತು ನೀವು ನನಗೆ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಾಗಿರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ನನಗೆ ಏನು? ಈಹೊತ್ತು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಕೊಲೆಯಾಗಬಾರದು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಈಹೊತ್ತು ನಾನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಅರಸನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದು ನಾನು ತಿಳಿಯುತ್ತೇನಲ್ಲಾ ಅಂದನು.

ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನು ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯ ರನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯರ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿದನು. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇ ಲ್ಯರು ಸಮುದ್ರತೀರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ತ ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯರನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ದರು.

ಆದರೆ ಜನರು ಸೌಲನಿಗೆ--ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ದೊಡ್ಡ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಯನ್ನುಂಟು ಮಾಡಿದ ಯೋನಾತಾನನು ಸಾಯ ಬಹುದೋ? ಅದು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಆಗದು; ಅವನು ಇಂದು ಕರ್ತನ ಸಹಾಯದ ಮೂಲಕ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ನಡಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಕರ್ತನ ಆಣೆ, ಅವನ ತಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಒಂದು ಕೂದಲಾದರೂ ನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಳಬಾರದು ಅಂದರು. ಜನರು ಯೋನಾತಾನನನ್ನು ಸಾಯದ ಹಾಗೆ ಬಿಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು.
