ಆಗ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಸಭೆ ಯವರ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರ ಬಲಿಪೀಠದ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಂತು ಆಕಾಶದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಕೈಗಳನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇ ನಂದರೆ--

ಆಕಾಶದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಕೈಯೆತ್ತಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯ ಮುಂದೆ ಮೊಣಕಾಲೂರಿದ್ದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋ ನನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯನ್ನೂ ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪನೆಯನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಿ ಮುಗಿಸಿದ ನಂತರ ಎದ್ದು ನಿಂತನು.
Exodus 9:33
ಮೋಶೆಯು ಫರೋಹನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಂದು ತನ್ನ ಕೈಗಳನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಚಾಚಿದನು. ಆಗ ಗುಡುಗುಗಳೂ ಆನೆಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಮಳೆಯೂ ನಿಂತುಹೋದವು. ಇನ್ನು ಮಳೆಯು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಳಲಿಲ್ಲ.

2 Kings 11:14
ಅವಳು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿ ನೋಡುವಾಗ ಇಗೋ, ಅರಸನು ಪದ್ಧತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಸ್ತಂಭದ ಬಳಿ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದನು. ಪ್ರಧಾನರೂ ತುತೂರಿ ಊದು ವವರೂ ಅರಸನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದರು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ದೇಶದ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟು ತುತೂರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಊದಿದರು. ಆಗ ಅತಲ್ಯಳು ತನ್ನ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಹರಿದು ಕೊಂಡು--ದ್ರೋಹ, ದ್ರೋಹ ಎಂದು ಕೂಗಿದಳು.
