ಆಗ ಅರಸನು ಯೆಹೋಯಾದಾವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಬೆನಾಯ ನಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಹೊರಟು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದನು; ಅವನು ಸತ್ತನು. ಹೀಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಿರ ಮಾಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು.
