ತಿರ್ಚದಲ್ಲಿ ಆರು ವರುಷ ಆಳಿದನು ಅವನು ಶೆಮೆರ್‌ ನಿಗೆ ಎರಡು ತಲಾಂತು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಸಮಾರ್ಯ ವೆಂಬ ಬೆಟ್ಟವನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಂಡು ಆ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿ ಶೆಮೆರನೆಂಬ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಯಜಮಾನನ ಹೆಸರಿನ ಹಾಗೆ ತಾನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮಾರ್ಯ ವೆಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟನು.
