1 Kings 16:1
ಬಾಷನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಹನಾನೀಯ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೇಹುವಿಗೆ ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯ ಉಂಟಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಧೂಳಿ ಯಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಮೇಲೆತ್ತಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಜನರಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾ ಯೇಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾಯಕನಾಗಿ ಇರಿಸಿದೆನು.

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಬಾಷನು ಯಾರೂಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಮನೆ ಯವರ ಹಾಗಿದ್ದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿ ತನ್ನ ದುಷ್ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳಿಂದ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಕೋಪವನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ತಾನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಅವನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿಯೂ ಅವನ ಮನೆಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿಯೂ ಹನಾನೀಯ ಮಗನಾಗಿರುವ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಯೇಹುವಿನ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯ ಉಂಟಾಯಿತು.

ಅದೇ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಹನಾನಿಯು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಆಸನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ -- ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನ ಮೇಲೆ ಆತುಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಅರಾಮಿನ ಅರಸನ ಮೇಲೆ ಆತು ಕೊಂಡದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅರಾಮಿನ ಅರಸನ ಸೈನ್ಯವು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿತು.

ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಆಸನ ಮೂರನೇ ವರುಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಹೀಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಬಾಷನು ಸಮಸ್ತ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಮೇಲೆ ತಿರ್ಚದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಳಲು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತನಾಲ್ಕು ವರುಷ ಆಳಿದನು.
