ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನು ತನ್ನ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಲಗಿದನು. ದಾವೀದನ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ಹೂಣಿಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟನು. ಅವನ ತಾಯಿ ಅಮ್ಮೋನ್ಯಳಾದ ನಯಮಾಳೆಂಬ ಹೆಸರುಳ್ಳವಳಾ ಗಿದ್ದಳು. ಅವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಅಬೀಯಾಮನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಆಳಿದನು.
