ಆದರೆ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಮಗನಾದ ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾ ಮನು ಯೆಹೂದದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಳುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದನು. ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾ ಮನು ಆಳಲು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದಾಗ ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತೊಂದು ವರುಷ ದವನಾಗಿದ್ದು ಕರ್ತನು ತನ್ನ ನಾಮವನ್ನು ಇಡಲು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಸಕಲ ಗೋತ್ರಗಳೊಳಗಿಂದ ಆದು ಕೊಂಡ ಪಟ್ಟಣವಾದ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹದಿನೇಳು ವರುಷ ಆಳಿದನು. ಅವನ ತಾಯಿ ಅಮ್ಮೋನ್ಯಳಾದ ನಯಮಾಳೆಂಬ ಹೆಸರುಳ್ಳವಳಾಗಿದ್ದಳು.
