ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವು ಇಚ್ಚೈಸುವದೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ಆಳುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಅರಸನಾ ಗಿರುವಿ.

ಆಗ ಆ ಹಣವನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಬಂದದ್ದಕ್ಕೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅಂದರೆ ಹಸು, ಕುರಿ, ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸ, ಮಧ್ಯಪಾನಗಳಿ ಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವು ಆಶಿಸುವ ಎಲ್ಲವುಗಳಿ ಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ವೆಚ್ಚಮಾಡಬೇಕು; ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ನೀನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಯವರೂ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆ ತಿಂದು ಸಂತೋಷಪಡಬೇಕು.

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಚರೇದ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಎಫ್ರಾತ್ಯನಾದ ನೆಬಾಟನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನು ಇದ್ದನು; ಚೆರೂಯಳೆಂಬ ವಿಧವೆಯಾದ ಸ್ತ್ರೀ ಅವನಿಗೆ ತಾಯಿ ಯು; ಅವನು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಸೇವಕನು; ಇವನು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯನ್ನೆತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
